Alanna Goldie (born April 17, 1994) is a Canadian Olympic fencer.

She participated in the 2010 Youth Olympics where she came fourth in the individual foil event and won a bronze medal in the mixed NOC team. [1]

Her first senior international competition was the 2011 Pan American Games where she won a silver medal in the team foil event. [1] She also participated in the 2015 Pan American Games where she won a gold medal in the team foil event [2] and a bronze medal in the individual foil event. [3] She won a silver medal at the 2019 Pan American Games in the team event. [4] She went on to compete at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics finishing 5th in the Women's Foil Team Event.

She has also participated in the Pan American Fencing Championships where she won silver medals in the foil team event every year from 2011 to 2018 and bronze medals in the individual foil event in 2012, 2013 and 2016. [1] [5] [6] [7] [8]

Yelena Borisovna Grishina is a former Soviet fencer. She competed in the women's team foil events at the 1988 and 1992 Summer Olympics. In the 1989 World Fencing Championships and the 1990 World Fencing Championships she won silver medals in foil team competing for the Soviet Union, and in 1995 she won a bronze medal in the European Championships in foil.

Race Alick Reid Imboden is an American left-handed former foil fencer. He is a nine-time team Pan American champion, six-time individual Pan American champion, and 2019 team world champion. Nicole Ross is an American foil fencer. Fencing for the Columbia Lions fencing team, she won the 2010 NCAA individual women's foil title, and was a three time All-American. At the 2012 Summer Olympics she competed in individual women's foil, coming in 25th, while in the team event she and her teammates came in sixth. At the 2018 World Championships, she and Team USA won the gold medal in the women's team foil event.

The 43rd FIE Fencing World Cup began in October 2013 and concluded in July 2014 at the 2014 World Fencing Championships held in Kazan. The World Cup medals were awarded during the FIE's gala dinner in Rome at Palazzo Colonna on 22 November 2014.

Antonio Leal is a Venezuelan foil fencer, Pan American champion in 2010 and bronze medallist at the 2011 Pan American Games. He also won a gold medal in the individual foil event at the 2013 Bolivarian Games, as well as a gold medal in team épée and a silver medal in team foil. He won a gold medal in individual foil at the 2017 Bolivarian Games.

The 2015 Pan American Fencing Championships were held at the National Sports Stadium, in Santiago de Chile, from 17 to 26 April 2015. The event was organized by the Pan American Fencing Confederation and the Chilean Fencing Federation, with the support of the International Fencing Federation and with the sponsorship of the Chilean Ministry of Sport and the Chilean Olympic Committee. It gathered more than 220 fencers from 24 countries. It is a qualifying tournament for the 2015 Pan American Games in Toronto. It also belongs to the qualification road to the 2016 Summer Olympics.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Fencing at the 2024 Summer Olympics</span>

The fencing competitions at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris were run from 27 July to 4 August at the Grand Palais strip. A total of 212 fencers, with an equal distribution between men and women, competed across twelve medal events at the Games. For the second straight time, Paris 2024 witnessed both men and women fence against each other in the individual and team events held in all three weapons.

Lauren Scruggs is an American left-handed foil fencer. Scruggs won a silver medal in women's individual foil at the 2024 Summer Olympics, making her the first African American woman to win an individual fencing medal. She also won a gold medal in women's team foil at the same Olympics, along with Lee Kiefer, Jackie Dubrovich, and Maia Weintraub. Scruggs competes for the Harvard Crimson team in collegiate fencing. She has won an NCAA championship and is one of two black fencers from the United States to have won an individual world championship.
