Aldo Traversaro (born 26 July 1948) is a retired Italian professional boxer who was active between 1970 and 1979.

Career

On 26 November 1977 he won the vacant European light heavyweight title (EBU) against Bunny Johnson, and defended it in 1978 against Rudy Koopmans, Francois Fiol and Avenamar Peralta. The same year he fought the WBA world title, but lost to Mike Rossman.

On 7 March 1979 Traversaro lost the EBU title to Rudy Koopmans and retired from boxing. [1]

Alex Blanchard is a retired Dutch professional boxer who was active between 1979 and 1991. Between 1985 and 1987 he was rated as world's second light heavyweight boxer by the World Boxing Council. On 29 May 1984 he won the European light heavyweight title (EBU) by knocking out Richard Caramanolis in sixth round; before the bout Caramanolis was a reigning European Champion with a 27–0 record. Blanchard defended the EBU title five times, against Manfred Jassman (1984), Richard Caramanolis (1985), Andrew Andries (1985), Ralf Rocchigiani (1986) and Enrico Scacchia (1987), and lost it in 1987 to Tom Collins. Richard Caramanolis is a retired French professional boxer who was active between 1980 and 1989. On 2 February 1984 he won the European light heavyweight title (EBU) against Rudy Koopmans, extending his winning streak to 27–0. Three months later he lost the title to Alex Blanchard. In 1988 he fought the IBF world light heavyweight title, but lost to Charles Williams.

Rudy Koopmans is a retired Dutch professional boxer who was active between 1972 and 1984. On 7 March 1979 he won the European light heavyweight title (EBU) against Aldo Traversaro in the seventh round. Over the next five years Koopmans defended this title ten times, until losing it to Richard Caramanolis in February 1984. In 1980 he fought for the WBA title but lost to Eddie Mustafa Muhammad.
