Alexander Demetri Franklin (born July 11, 1988) is a Puerto Rican-American professional basketball player for Gigantes de Carolina of the Baloncesto Superior Nacional (BSN). He is best known for his college career at Siena College and as a member of the Puerto Rican national team.

Franklin, a small forward from Reading, Pennsylvania, played at Siena from 2006 to 2010. In his time there, he led the Saints to three Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) titles and was named the MAAC Player of the Year and an AP honorable mention All-American as a senior in 2009–10. [1] He left the school with 1,730 points and 930 rebounds for his career.

Following college, Franklin played professionally in Spain and France as well as several teams in Puerto Rico's Baloncesto Superior Nacional. In 2012, Franklin led the Mayagüez Indians to its first championship and was named playoff MVP. [2]

In February 2015, he signed with Maccabi Ra'anana of Israel. [3] In May 2015, he signed with Vaqueros de Bayamón of Puerto Rico. [4]

Franklin, whose mother is Puerto Rican, first played for Puerto Rico's national team at 2012 Centrobasket. [5] On August 19, 2014, Franklin was named to Puerto Rico's squad for the 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup. [6]

He is the second son of the legendary Puerto Rican basketball star Raymond Dalmau. Dalmau has played in the NCAA, the National Basketball Development League, and the Baloncesto Superior Nacional in Puerto Rico. Dalmau has played internationally in Turkey, Poland, and Israel. Dalmau was a member of the Puerto Rican National Basketball Team that defeated the United States in the 2004 Olympic Games.

Elías "Larry" Ayuso is a Puerto Rican former professional basketball player, who currently serves as head coach for the Piratas de Quebradillas of the Baloncesto Superior Nacional (BSN). Internationally, Ayuso has represented and played for the Puerto Rican national team since 2001. He was part of the 2004 team that defeated the United States at the 2004 Olympic Games.

Flor Meléndez Montañez is a Puerto Rican retired basketball player and current coach. He is a former head coach of Puerto Rico’s men’s national basketball team, Argentina men's national basketball team, and Panama men's national basketball team. Alejandro "Bimbo" Carmona is a Puerto Rican professional basketball player for the Gigantes de Carolina of the Baloncesto Superior Nacional (BSN). After going undrafted in the 2005 NBA draft, Carmona participated in 2005 pre-season training camp of the Detroit Pistons of the National Basketball Association, and then played with the Fort Worth Flyers of the NBA Development League. Since then, he has been playing in the Baloncesto Superior Nacional (BSN) with Gigantes de Carolina, Vaqueros de Bayamón, Indios de Mayagüez, Brujos de Guayama and Piratas de Quebradillas. Carmona was a member of the Puerto Rico national basketball team since 2006.

Joel "JoJo" Jones-Camacho is a Puerto Rican-American former professional basketball player. Jones has played in the NCAA, Baloncesto Superior Nacional (BSN) with Vaqueros de Bayamón, Leones de Ponce, Piratas de Quebradillas, and internationally in the Chinese Basketball Association with the Shandong Lions. Jones was a member of the Puerto Rican national basketball team since 2007.

Carlos Escalera is a Puerto Rican professional basketball player. Escalera has played in the American Basketball Association (ABA) and the National Superior Basketball League of Puerto Rico (BSN) with Mets de Guaynabo, Taínos de Mayagüez, Aguadilla Tiburones, Maratonistas de Coamo, and Vaqueros de Bayamón and Capitanes de Arecibo.

Carmelo Antrone Lee is an American former professional basketball player. Lee has played with the Guaynabo Conquistadores in the National Superior Basketball league of Puerto Rico, he played with Vaqueros de Bayamón from 2009 to 2012. Internationally he has played with the Guaros (Venezuela), CAB (Portugal), Regatas C. (Argentina), LNBP (Mexico) and Metros. In 2007, Lee was included as a small forward in the Puerto Rico national basketball team. In 2009, he won the Puerto Rico national championship with Bayamon.

Akindele Jeleel Ayodeji is a Nigerian professional basketball player for the Halcones de Xalapa of the Liga Nacional de Baloncesto Profesional (LNBP).

Francisco Librán Rosas was a Puerto Rican athlete who distinguished himself for performing professionally on all three major sports in the island. Most notably, Librán played as an infielder in Major League Baseball during the late 60s. He batted and threw right-handed, and was listed at 6 ft (1.8 m) tall and 168 lb (76 kg).
