Dražen "Praja" Dalipagić is a Serbian former professional basketball player and head coach. He was selected the best athlete of Yugoslavia in the year 1978, and is one of the most decorated athletes in Yugoslavian history. He was named one of FIBA's 50 Greatest Players in 1991. Dalipagić was enshrined into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame as a player in 2004, and into the FIBA Hall of Fame, also as a player, in 2007. In 2008, he was named one of the 50 Greatest EuroLeague Contributors.
Tatyana Nikolaevna Ovechkina is a former Soviet Russian basketball player who played for a national team that won two Olympic gold medals, the 1975 World Championships and six European Championships. Today, she runs the Russia women's national basketball program.

He wore the number 1 jersey throughout his career. He represented Greece twice at the Summer Olympics. As a rower at the 1948 Summer Olympics, and as a basketball player at the 1952 Summer Olympics.
Ricardo Primitivo González is an Argentine former basketball player. In 1980, he received the Konex Merit Diploma, being named one of the 5 best Argentine players of all-time to that point. He was inducted into the FIBA Hall of Fame, in 2009.
Aleksandr Pavlovich Petrov was a Soviet-Azerbaijani basketball player and coach. He was one of the first very tall centers in Soviet basketball history. During his club playing career, Petrov won EuroLeague championships, in 1962 and 1963. As a member of the senior men's Soviet Union national team, he was voted to the All-Tournament Team of the 1963 FIBA World Cup. For his achievements in the sport of basketball, Petrov was awarded the Honored Master of Sports of the USSR and the Order of the Badge of Honor.
Shaivonte Aician Gilgeous-Alexander, also known by his initials SGA, is a Canadian professional basketball player for the Oklahoma City Thunder of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played one year of college basketball for the Kentucky Wildcats and was selected 11th overall by the Charlotte Hornets in the 2018 NBA draft before being traded to the Los Angeles Clippers that same night.

Medhat Mohsen Warda is an Egyptian basketball player. He competed in the men's tournament at the 1984 Summer Olympics. He was inducted into the FIBA Hall of Fame in 2019.
