Aliaksandr Subota (born 28 August 1984) is a Paralympian athlete from Belarus competing mainly in T46 classification track and field events. [1]
Subota first represented his country at a Paralympics in 2004 in Athens, where he competed in the long jump and triple jump, although he failed to achieve a podium finish in either. [2] Subota was back in the Belarus team for the 2008 Summer Paralympics in Beijing, this time competing in just the long jump. He finished fifth. [2] His most successful Paralympics to date was the London Games in 2012. There he competed in both the long jump and triple jump, finishing third in the triple jump to claim his first Paralympic medal. [2]
As well as his Paralympic success, Subota has also claimed medals at both World and European Championship level. He claimed a silver in the triple jump (T46) in the 2013 World Championships in Lyon while he has won three European medals, including a gold in the T46 Javelin in 2016 in Grosseto. This was the first international competition that he had entered into the javelin event.
Subota was born in Minsk, Belarus in 1984. He studied sports coaching at Belarusian State University of Physical Training. [2]
Carolina Evelyn Klüft is a retired Swedish track and field athlete who competed in the heptathlon, pentathlon, long jump and triple jump. She was an Olympic Champion, having won the heptathlon title in 2004. She was also a three-time World heptathlon champion, World Indoor pentathlon champion, a two-time European heptathlon champion and a two-time European Indoor pentathlon champion. Klüft is the only athlete ever to win three consecutive world titles in the heptathlon. She was unbeaten in 22 heptathlon and pentathlon competitions from 2002 to 2007, her entire combined events career as a senior athlete, winning nine consecutive gold medals in major championships.
Devendra Jhajharia is an Indian Paralympic javelin thrower competing in F46 events. He is the first Indian Paralympics player to win two gold medals at the Paralympics. He won his first gold in the javelin throw at the 2004 Summer Paralympics in Athens, becoming the second gold medalist at the Paralympics for his country. At the 2016 Summer Paralympics in Rio de Janeiro, he won a second gold medal in the same event, bettering his previous record. Devendra is currently being supported by the Olympic Gold Quest. He becomes India's most decorated Paralympic player by winning his third medal, a silver at the 2020 Summer Paralympics at Tokyo.

The 2013 IPC Athletics World Championships was the biggest track and field competition for athletes with a disability since the 2012 Summer Paralympics. It was held in Lyon, France, and lasted from 20 to 28 July. Around 1,100 athletes competed, from 94 different countries. The event was held in the Stade du Rhône located at the Parc de Parilly in Vénissieux, in Lyon Metropolis.
Nikol Rodomakina is a Paralympic athlete from Russia competing mainly in category T46 sprint and F46 long jump events. Between 2011 and 2013 Rodomakina was World, Paralympic and European champion in the F46 long jump.
