Smita Patil was an Indian film and theatre actress who mainly worked in Hindi and Marathi films. Regarded among the finest and greatest actresses in the history of Indian cinema, Patil appeared in over 80 films, in a career that spanned over a decade. Patil was the recipient of two National Film Awards, a Filmfare Award, two Filmfare Awards Marathi. She received the Padma Shri, India's fourth-highest civilian honour in 1985.

Umbartha is a 1982 Indian Marathi-language film produced by D. V. Rao and directed and coproduced by Jabbar Patel. The film is a story of a woman's dream to step outside her four walled home and bring change in the society. Smita Patil played the lead protagonist in the film for which she won Marathi Rajya Chitrapat Puraskar for Best Actress. The film was adjudged as the Best Feature Film in Marathi at the 29th National Film Awards for "a sincere cinematic statement on the theme of a woman seeking to establish her identity by pursuing a career, even at the risk of alienation from her family".

Usha Jadhav is an Indian actress who predominantly works in Marathi and Hindi language films. The film based on the life of Maratha king, Chattrapati Shivaji Maharaj where he defeated Afzal Khan with brilliant tactics and courage stars Chinmay Mandlekar in title role, Mrinal Kulkarni, Ajay Purkar, Mukesh Rishi along with Bipin Surve and Rohan Mankani in supporting roles. The film was released theatrically on 22 April 2022.
Devmanus 2 is an Indian Marathi language crime thriller television series which aired on Zee Marathi. The show premiered from 19 December 2021 by replacing Ti Parat Aaliye. It is produced by Shweta Shinde and directed by Raju Sawant under the banner of Vajra Production. It starred Kiran Gaikwad and Asmita Deshmukh in lead roles.
Chhapa Kata is a 2023 Indian Marathi-language comedy drama film co-written and directed by Sandeep Navre and produced by Ultra Media & Entertainment. The film stars Makarand Anaspure, Mohan Joshi, Tejaswini Lonari, Reena Madhukar, Vijay Patkar, Arun Nalawade.
