Darren Stanley Hayes is an Australian singer-songwriter, and podcaster. Hayes was the frontman and singer of the pop duo Savage Garden until it disbanded in 2001. Their 1997 album Savage Garden peaked at No. 1 in Australia, No. 2 in United Kingdom and No. 3 in United States. It spawned the singles "I Want You", "To the Moon and Back", and Australian and US No. 1 "Truly Madly Deeply". The duo followed the success of their debut album with Affirmation (1999), which provided additional hits such as US No. 1 "I Knew I Loved You", and Australian No. 3 "The Animal Song". Savage Garden parted ways in 2001. They have sold more than 23 million albums worldwide.

The Future of Earthly Delites is a compilation album released by Australian pop duo Savage Garden, released to promote their world tour of the same name. The album includes two discs: one featuring their self-titled debut album, Savage Garden, and a second featuring several remixes and B-sides. Two versions of the album were released: one in Australia, featuring the original Australian version of the album, containing "Mine" and "All Around Me", and one in Europe, containing the International version of the album, removing "Mine" and "All Around Me", but adding "Promises". Later pressings of the Australian version of the album include an alternate version of the Tears on the Dancefloor Mix of "Tears of Pearls", featuring more reverb on the vocals. The reason for this has not been explained.

As You Were is the fourth live album by English acoustic roots duo Show of Hands. Following the release of their acclaimed tenth studio album Country Life in 2003, which itself was promoted by a tour, the duo were named the "Best Live Act" at the 2004 BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards. The live interest in the duo ultimately lead to a greater interest when the band announced their Autumn Tour 2004. The tour itself ran from November–December and included Miranda Sykes as a collaborator, her first collaboration with the duo.
