All Saints' Church (Spanish : Iglesia de Todos los Santos, opened 1890), also known as Anglican Church of All Saints, is a Church of England parish church located in the city of Puerto de la Cruz on the island of Tenerife (Canary Islands, Spain).
The first Anglican communities to arrive in the Canary Islands settled mainly in the cities of Puerto de la Cruz, Las Palmas, Santa Cruz de Tenerife, and to a lesser extent in Santa Cruz de La Palma. [1]
In Puerto de la Cruz, Anglican worship was originally held every Sunday at the home of the British Vice-Consul Peter Spence Reid, although he was a Presbyterian and a member of the Church of Scotland. [1]
In 1887 he founded the Taoro Company, which, in the same year, designated free land for the construction of an Anglican church. In November of that year the Bishop of the Anglican Diocese of Sierra Leone the Rt Revd Ernest Graham Ingham visited Puerto de la Cruz and formed a committee to implement the church building project. [1]
The church was built with money donated by foreign visitors and British residents in the city. The organ, the pulpit, stained glass windows, baptismal font and other items were private donations. The clergy house and the stained glass windows were gifts from Mary Boreham and other family members. [2] She was the widow of Walter Long Boreham who had died in 1890. The church is built in Gothic Revival style.
All Saints' of Puerto de la Cruz was the first Anglican church built in the Canary Islands. [2] Puerto de la Cruz also has the archipelago's oldest Anglican cemetery. In 1964 the church fell under the administration of the Anglican Diocese of Gibraltar. [2]
Anglican eucharistic services are held every Sunday at 11:00 (sung), and on Wednesday at 10:00 (said). [2] The parish of All Saints currently covers all of northern Tenerife, the metropolitan area of the island [2] and the island of La Palma. To the south of Tenerife is the Anglican Church of St. Francis, South Tenerife [2] in the municipality of Adeje. [3]

Barlovento is on the main highway which encircles the island. The land rises steeply from a small coastal plain, to the rim of the Caldera de Taburiente at Pico de la Cruz (2,350m)
Garafía is a municipality in the island of La Palma, Santa Cruz de Tenerife. Located in the northwest of the island, in the middle of two whims of nature: the ravines of Franceses bordering Barlovento and Izcagua by the South, bordering Punta Gorda. The administrative capital, home to the City Council, is called Santo Domingo; its parish church, Iglesia de Nuestra Señora de La Luz dates back to the 16th century. Garafía has a length of 25.50 km coastline.
The Anglican Church of Mexico, originally known as Church of Jesus is the Anglican province in Mexico and includes five dioceses. The Diocese of San Cristóbal de La Laguna, also called Diocese of Tenerife or Diocese Nivariense, is a diocese located in the city of San Cristóbal de La Laguna in the Canary Islands and a suffragan in the ecclesiastical province of the Archdiocese of Sevilla in Spain. The diocese includes the islands of Tenerife, La Palma, La Gomera and El Hierro, in the province of Santa Cruz de Tenerife. The seat has been vacant since 16 September, 2024.
The Virgin of Candelaria or Our Lady of Candle (Tagalog: Mahal na Birhen ng Candelaria, popularly called La Morenita, celebrates the Virgin Mary on the island of Tenerife, one of the Canary Islands. The center of worship is located in the city of Candelaria in Tenerife. She is depicted as a Black Madonna. The "Royal Basilica Marian Shrine of Our Lady of Candelaria" is considered the main church dedicated to the Virgin Mary in the Canary Islands and she is the patroness saint of the Canary Islands. Her feast is celebrated on February 2 and August 15, the patronal feast of the Canary Islands.
Fernando Estévez was a Spanish sculptor of the 18th century from La Orotava, Tenerife. He is considered one of the Canary Islands most noted sculptors.
The Cathedral of San Cristóbal de La Laguna or Catedral de Nuestra Señora de los Remedios is a Roman Catholic church in Tenerife, Spain. Begun in 1904 and completed in 1915, it is dedicated to the Virgin of Los Remedios. The cathedral is the mother church of the diocese, which includes the islands of Tenerife, La Palma, La Gomera and El Hierro in the province of Santa Cruz de Tenerife. It is therefore where the episcopal seat of the bishop of this diocese, currently occupied by Bishop Bernardo Álvarez Afonso. This is one of the most important churches of the Canary Islands.

Puerto de la Cruz is a city and municipality in the northern part of the island of Tenerife, Canary Islands, Spain. It was formerly known by its English translation, "Port of the Cross", although now it is known by its Spanish name in all languages. Puerto de la Cruz is located on the northern coast, 4 km (2 mi) northwest of La Orotava and 30 km (19 mi) west of Santa Cruz de Tenerife. The TF-5 motorway passes through the municipality. The population is 30,483 (2018). In Spanish, the local inhabitants are known as Portuenses. With an area of 8.73 km2 (3 sq mi), the municipality is the smallest in Tenerife. The elevation of the town's centre is 9 m (30 ft) above sea level and the highest point being Las Arenas, a volcanic cone with an elevation of 249 m (817 ft).
As in the rest of Spain, the majority religion in the Canary Islands is the Catholic Church. The Catholic religion has been the majority since the Conquest of the Canary Islands in the fifteenth century. This religion would largely replace the Canarian aboriginal religion through the prohibition of the latter and syncretism. According to a survey conducted in 2019, Canary Islands is the fifth autonomous community in Spain with the highest percentage of people who declare themselves to be Catholics after the Region of Murcia, Extremadura, Galicia, Aragon, and Castile and León. 76.7% of the population is Catholic.
St George's Anglican Church, also known as Iglesia Anglicana-Episcopaliana de San Jorge or, simply Capilla Británica, is a small Anglican church located in the barrio of Recoletos, district of Salamanca, Madrid, Spain, which belongs to the Diocese in Europe of the Church of England. The church was built in 1923 and was consecrated in March 1925.
