Allied Pacific Sports Network ("APSN") was one of the earliest over-the-top content OTT companies in Asia. Founded in 2009, APSN was the first provider of multiple live streamed sports in China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Macau, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Thailand and Vietnam. APSN ceased operations in 2012. In 2011, APSN streamed more than 5,000 hour of live sports. These sports included Major League Baseball, the Premier League, Bundesliga, Italian Serie A, and the National Hockey League. APSN was based in Beijing, China and Hong Kong and operated Major League Baseball websites throughout Asia under and exclusive license from Major League Baseball Advanced Media LLC and the Premier League, Bundesliga and National Hockey League websites throughout various countries in Asia as well as APSN.TV. During 2010 and 2011, APSN operated the MLB websites and mobile content business in Korea, China, Hong Kong, Macau, Singapore, the Philippines, Thailand, Indonesia and Vietnam [2] These websites and mobile platforms provided Major League Baseball content including news, feature articles, video highlights, scores, standings, statistics, photos and an online store selling official MLB merchandise to Major League Baseball fans in their local languages. APSN streamed live on a daily basis more than 2,400 Major League Baseball games during the baseball season from Opening Day in April to the World Series in October. [3]
APSN internet streaming included live and on-demand matches of England's Premier League in China and Macau and Germany's Bundesliga in Japan, Korea, the Philippines, Vietnam, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bhutan, and the Maldives.
APSN also previously operated NHL websites in Japan, Korea, China, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan providing local language NHL news, results, schedules, photos, standings and video highlights to hockey fans in North Asia.
Sportsnet is a Canadian English-language discretionary sports specialty channel owned by Rogers Sports & Media. It was established in 1998 as CTV Sportsnet, a joint venture between CTV, Liberty Media, and Rogers Media. CTV parent Bell Globemedia then was required to divest its stake in the network following its 2001 acquisition of competing network TSN. Rogers then became the sole owner of Sportsnet in 2004 after it bought the remaining minority stake that was held by Fox.

Sports Illustrated TV was the first 24-hour sports network in Asia. It was launched on October 1, 2009 by Yes Television. The channel was then relaunched in 2016 by the newly formed joint-venture between ASN Ltd. and Meredith Corporation.
Total Sports TV is an online live sports streaming channel that is a partnership between Total Sports Asia and Octopus Media Technology. The channel was launched in July 2009 serving live sports content like the Thomas Cup & Uber Cup, Badminton World Championships and US Open Tennis. Its existing live streaming rights are restricted in selected territories. In 2011, Total Sports TV will stream the Badminton Super Series and AIBA Boxing worldwide.
Fox Sports Asia was a pan-Asian pay television network broadcasting in Asia, operated by Fox Networks Group Asia Pacific, a subsidiary of The Walt Disney Company Pte. Ltd. It also oversaw a version of Star Sports available in Mainland China and South Korea. Asia Pacific Deaf Games is a deaf multi-sport event established in 1984 which is held every 4 years in the Asia Pacific region. It is the successor to the "Far Eastern Deaf Football Championship" which was held in Taipei in 1983. The inaugural games was held in 1984 in Hong Kong. At that time, the games was known as the Asia Pacific Deaf Football Championship which was held biennially until 1988. In 1988, the games' governing body Asia Pacific Deaf Sports Confederation was formed during the 3rd Championship in Melbourne, Australia with Ms. Wendy Home as its first administrator. The games changed its name to its present name, the Asia Pacific Deaf Games when the games was held in Seoul, South Korea in 1992 after Asia Pacific Deaf Sports Confederation passed a resolution to change the name of the games, which has since been held once every four years.
