Alone in a Crowd is an album by Catch 22, and the first release featuring the band's second lineup (featuring Jeff Davidson as lead vocalist, replacing Tomas Kalnoky). It was recorded in June 2000. [2]
The album features a song trilogy, "What Goes Around Comes Around", "Bloomfield Avenue" and "Neverending Story", which follows two young lovers who commit multiple acts of homicide on a cross-country spree before finally succumbing to their own personal demons. Themes on the album include a longing for childhood and home, and a general feeling of alienation from the rest of the world.
The end of the album features seven blank tracks, each 22 seconds long, followed by a bonus track that starts after 22 seconds of silence, bringing the album to a total of 22 tracks.
To promote the album, the band made a music video for "Point the Blame", the album's first single. However, due to financial problems, the video was never completed. The band closed the year touring the US with Reel Big Fish. [3] In March 2001, the band toured across Canada with AFI. [4] In May and June 2001, the band toured Europe as part of the Deconstruction Tour. [5]
On January 30, 2016, Jeff Davidson joined the band to perform the album in full at Starland Ballroom in Sayreville, NJ.

Catch 22 is an American ska punk band from East Brunswick Township, New Jersey. The band was formed in 1996 by guitarist/vocalist/songwriter Tomas Kalnoky, who left the band in 1998 and later formed Streetlight Manifesto. Founding members still in the band are vocalist/saxophonist Ryan Eldred, trumpeter Kevin Gunther and drummer Chris Greer. While largely inactive since 2012, the band performed at a spate of shows in 2015.
Washed Up and Through the Ringer! is a 2001 album by ska punk band Catch 22. It represents a particularly complicated point in the band's history. Vocalist Jeff Davidson left the band in early 2001, leading the remaining band members to carry out a very public search for a replacement vocalist, going so far as to post an open call for would-be singers on the band's website. Washed Up and Through the Ringer serves as a sort of "history so far" for the band, presenting the 1999 Washed Up! EP in its entirety, three tracks that previously were only available with a limited edition release of Alone in a Crowd, two brand new tracks, and a handful of fan-recorded live tracks from 2000 featuring songs from Alone in a Crowd and Keasbey Nights. This was the band's last studio release for almost two years, during which time they decided to soldier on with no dedicated vocalist.

Student Rick was an emo band from South Bend, Indiana that consisted of Adam Reiter (guitar/vocals), Brett Jones (guitar/vocals), Jason Pavilanis (bass), and Zach Davis (drums). They were most known for their song "Falling for You" from the Victory Records release Soundtrack for a Generation, which was featured in two video games which are both Aggressive Inline and Amped 2. In early 2002, drummer Zach Davis broke his foot getting off stage after a Los Angeles show. "Falling for You" is commonly a victim of misattribution on file sharing networks, frequently displayed as being written by Taking Back Sunday, Simple Plan, Something Corporate, or The Starting Line. The band broke up in November 2002.
