Altoona Metro Transit (AMTRAN) is a public transportation service serving Blair County, Pennsylvania. [3] It provides bus and paratransit service to Altoona, Hollidaysburg, and select communities in the region. Amtran offers a tripper for school students as well as shuttle services for Penn State Altoona. In 2023, the system had a ridership of 467,600, or about 1,600 per weekday as of the third quarter of 2024.

Omnitrans is a public transportation agency in San Bernardino County, California, United States. The largest transit operator within San Bernardino County, it serves the San Bernardino Valley. The agency was established in 1976 through a joint powers agreement and today includes 15 cities and portions of the unincorporated areas of San Bernardino County. In addition to the southwestern corner of San Bernardino County, Omnitrans provides service to parts of Riverside and Los Angeles Counties. Omnitrans currently carries about 11 million passengers per year. Omnitrans currently operates fixed route bus service, bus rapid transit and a paratransit service for the disabled, “Access.” Omnitrans operates throughout the urbanized area of southwestern San Bernardino County: south of the San Bernardino Mountains, from Upland, Montclair, and Chino in the west to Redlands, California and Yucaipa in the east. The Omnitrans service area covers approximately 480 square miles (1,200 km2).

CamTran, originally called the Cambria County Transit Authority operates mass transit bus service within Johnstown, Pennsylvania, Cambria County, and Windber, Pennsylvania, Somerset County, Pennsylvania. CamTran also operates the Johnstown Inclined Plane, which they took over in 1983 from Westmont, Pennsylvania borough. The transit system began operation in 1976, from the remnants of the Johnstown Traction Company. While the Cambria County Transit Authority (CCTA) began operation on July 20, 1976, service did not begin until December 1, 1976. In June 1999, CCTA became CamTran. In 2023, the system had a ridership of 752,700, or about 2,300 per weekday as of the third quarter of 2024.

Blacksburg Transit, or simply BT, is a local government-owned urban-suburban bus line based in Blacksburg, Virginia. The system originated in 1983 with six buses, but has since expanded its operation to 53 fixed-route buses and 18 body-on-chassis vehicles. In FY 19, Ridership exceeded 4.6 million passenger trips per year; ridership is dominated by Virginia Tech students who account for approximately 90 percent of all riders, with the remaining percentage being split between Virginia Tech faculty and staff, and other Blacksburg citizens. Ridership decreased in FY20 and FY21 due to COVID-19, but began rebounding in FY21. Blacksburg Transit serves the towns of Blacksburg, Christiansburg and limited portions of Montgomery County. In 2023, the system had a ridership of 3,638,800 or about 17,000 per weekday as of the third quarter of 2024. In 2024 the agency claims to provide around 22,000 rides per day during school season.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">LeeTran</span>

LeeTran is the transit bus service operated by the Lee County Transit Department, providing service to Bonita Springs, Cape Coral, Fort Myers, Fort Myers Beach and much of the unincorporated area of Lee County, Florida. Buses operate Monday through Saturday between 5:00 a.m. and 9:45 p.m., depending on the route; and at various times on Sunday. Trolleys operate Monday through Sunday between 6:30 a.m. and 9:25 p.m.. In 2023, the system had a ridership of 1,831,800, or about 5,500 per weekday as of the third quarter of 2024.

Muncie Indiana Transit System (MITS) is the local bus service for Muncie, Indiana. MITS has 14 routes that originate in downtown Muncie and branch out about four miles in all directions. Some routes add buses during school hours to help shuttle students. MITSPlus vehicles are available upon request by disabled people who cannot use the mass-transit buses. In 2023, the system had a ridership of 918,600, or about 3,400 per weekday as of the third quarter of 2024.

GTrans is a municipal transit agency that serves Gardena, California and surrounding Los Angeles County neighbourhoods. It was founded on January 15, 1940, as Gardena Municipal Bus Lines. On the agency's 75th anniversary, the agency was renamed as GTrans. The bus lines complement the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority's crosstown routes through the city. In 2023, the system had a ridership of 2,131,500, or about 8,900 per weekday as of the third quarter of 2024.

Anaheim Resort Transportation (ART), established in 1998 as the Anaheim Transportation Network (ATN) and formerly known as Anaheim Resort Transit, is a mass transportation provider in the Anaheim Resort area and its environs in Orange County, California, United States. ART uses a fleet of vehicles, including tourist trolleys, to provide access to hotels, malls, and tourist-related enterprises, which are the main destinations connected by the system. In 2023, the system had a ridership of 8,611,000, or about 24,600 per weekday as of the third quarter of 2024.

Beach Cities Transit is an inter-municipal agency provides mass transportation for the Beach Cities of Redondo Beach, Hermosa Beach, and Manhattan Beach, as well as El Segundo. The two routes provide both local service and afford a variety of opportunities to connect with the rest of the Greater Los Angeles Transportation grid. The system began in 2005, taking over lower-ridership routes from Los Angeles Metro. In 2023, the system had a ridership of 255,500, or about 900 per weekday as of the third quarter of 2024.

The Redding Area Bus Authority, or RABA, is the operator of public transportation in Shasta County, California. RABA was formerly known as The Ride. Ten local routes serve the cities of Redding, Anderson, and Shasta Lake and their surrounding regions, with over 650,000 riders taking advantage of public transportation each year. Buses operate 6 days per week and stops are located at approximately quarter mile intervals. An eleventh route, the Burney Express, serves as a limited-stop weekday commuter line, operating three times per day in each direction. Burney Express is operated for Shasta County by RABA. RABA was formed in 1976 by a joint powers agreement (JPA) between the City of Redding and the County of Shasta to provide public transit services within the Greater Redding Area. RABA began services in November 1981. As the population of Redding exploded in the 1990s, service was greatly expanded. The JPA was amended in 1998 to include the City of Anderson and the City of Shasta Lake. The service is administered by the City of Redding and operated by Transdev. In 2023, the system had a ridership of 479,500, or about 1,900 per weekday as of the third quarter of 2024.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Grand Valley Transit</span> Public transportation agency in Colorado

Grand Valley Transit is the public transportation agency that serves the Grand Junction area. Fixed route service began in 2000. Eleven routes run hourly on Monday through Saturday, with seven of them meeting in a downtown transit center. In 2023, the system had a ridership of 579,300, or about 2,300 per weekday as of the third quarter of 2024.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Battle Creek Transit</span>

Battle Creek Transit is the primary provider of mass transportation in Calhoun County, Michigan, United States. Eight Routes provide service from Monday through Saturday. In 2007, all buses were equipped with bike racks. Nearly 500 designated stops are available within the system. Current service times area 5:15 am – 6:45 pm Monday-Friday, 9:15 am – 5:15 pm Saturday. No service on Sunday or major holidays. In 2023, the system had a ridership of 209,300, or about 1,700 per weekday as of the third quarter of 2024.

The Muskegon Area Transit System (MATS) is the primary provider of mass transportation in Muskegon County, Michigan. Service is provided from Monday through Friday along seven routes. The agency also provides a Complementary ADA Paratransit Service that operates within 3/4 mile of the fixed routes. A micro-transit service called Go2 provides on-demand service Monday-Saturday. Go2 is sponsored by MATS and provided by Via. In 2023, the system had a ridership of 242,300, or about 900 per weekday as of the third quarter of 2024.

The Allen County Regional Transportation Authority is the primary provider of mass transportation in Lima, Ohio. Six routes provide standard weekday service, while an express bus runs as a seventh line to nearby Delphos, Ohio during rush hour. In 2023, the system had a ridership of 212,800, or about 6,000 per weekday as of the third quarter of 2024.
