Makerere University is Uganda's largest and oldest institution of higher learning, first established as a technical school in 1922, and the oldest currently active university in East Africa. It became an independent national university in 1970. Today, Makerere University is composed of nine colleges and one school offering programmes for about 36,000 undergraduates and 4,000 postgraduates. These colleges include College of Natural Sciences (CONAS), College of Health Sciences (CHS), College of Engineering Art & Design (CEDAT), College of Agriculture and Environmental Studies (CAES), College Of Business and Management Sciences (CoBAMS), College of Humanities & Social Sciences (CHUSS), College of Computing and Information Sciences (COCIS), College of Veterinary Medicine, Animal Resources & Bio-security (COVAB), College of Education and External Studies (CEES) and Makerere University Business School (MUBS). In addition, Makerere has onother campus in Eastern Uganda Jinja City.
Makerere University Business School (MUBS) is the school of business of Makerere University, Uganda's oldest university. MUBS provides business and management education at the certificate, diploma, undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
Israel Kibirige Ssebunya was a Ugandan cytogeneticist, agricultural researcher, academic and politician. He served as the State Minister for Agriculture, Animal Industry & Fisheries, from 1999 to 2008. Prior to that, he served as director of research at Kawanda Agricultural Research Institute (KARI). He was also the elected Member of Parliament (MP), representing Kyadondo County North in Wakiso District. He served in that capacity continuously from 1996 until his death in 2008.
Christine Joyce Dradidi Ondoa is a physician and medical administrator who is regarded as one of Uganda's finest leaders especially in ensuring that the quality of health service delivery in Uganda is improved, and discipline and ethical code of conduct among health workers is observed. She is a Ugandan paediatrician and Christian Leader. She currently serves as the Director General of the Uganda AIDS Commission. She was appointed to that position by the President of Uganda in February 2014. Prior to that, she served as a Senior Presidential Advisor to President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni on Public Health. She was a member of the board of directors of the Global Alliance for Vaccines and Immunization (GAVI). She was Minister of Health in the Ugandan Cabinet from 2011 to 2013. She was appointed to that position on 27 May 2011, but was replaced by Ruhakana Rugunda on 23 May 2013. On account of being a cabinet minister she was a member of the Ugandan Parliament, in an ex officio capacity. Prior to that, she was the Executive Director of Mbarara Regional Referral Hospital, one of the fourteen regional referral hospitals in Uganda.
Barbara (Birungi) Mutabazi is a female technologist. She is a co-founder and founding manager of HiveColab in Kampala, Uganda. She is the founder of Women in Technology Uganda, an initiative aimed at helping women and girls pursue technology careers. Prior to Hive Colab, Mutabazi was a member of staff at the African technology firm Appfrica.
Chris Baryomunsi is a Ugandan physician, public health specialist, demographer, and politician. He is the Minister for ICT and National Guidance in the Cabinet of Uganda. He was appointed to that position in 2021. From 1 March 2015 until 6 June 2016, he served as State Minister of Health for General Duties.
KTA Advocates(Formerly Karuhanga, Tabaro & Associates) is a Ugandan law firm headquartered in Kampala, the capital city of Uganda. It is a private legal practice firm founded in 2009.
Charity Basaza Mulenga is a Ugandan electrical engineer and academic administrator. She was the founding vice chancellor of St. Augustine International University (SAIU), a private institution of higher education that the Uganda National Council for Higher Education accredited in 2011.
Stephen Robert Isabalija, is a Ugandan civil servant, management professional, accountant, academic and academic administrator. He is the immediate past permanent secretary in the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Development in Uganda, having served in that capacity from November 2016, until his termination on 24 August 2017.
Geraldine Ssali Busuulwa is a Ugandan accountant and business administrator. She serves as the Permanent Secretary in the Uganda Ministry of Trade, Industry and Cooperatives. She was appointed permanent secretary on the 15th of July 2021.

Mary Goretti Kitutu, also Mary Goretti Kitutu Kimono is a Ugandan academic, politician and environmentalist. She was appointed Minister for Karamoja Affairs on 8 June 2021, replacing John Byabagambi. She was the Minister of Energy and Mineral Development, in the Ugandan Cabinet, from 14 December 2019 to 8 June 2021. Before that, from 10 June 2016, until 14 December 2019, she served as the State Minister for the Environment in the Cabinet of Uganda. Dr Mary Kitutu concurrently serves as the elected Manafwa District Women's Representative, in the 10th Parliament.

Diana Kanzira Atwine, also Diana Atwiine, is a Ugandan medical doctor and civil servant. She is the incumbent Permanent Secretary of the Uganda Ministry of Health. She was appointed to that position on 4 November 2016 by Yoweri Museveni, the president of Uganda. She replaced Dr. Asumani Lukwago, who was transferred as Permanent Secretary to the Education Services Commission.
Robert Kasande, is a geologist and civil servant, in Uganda, who serves as the Permanent Secretary in the Uganda Ministry of Justice and Constitutional Affairs, since July 2021.
Judith Nalule Nabakooba is a Ugandan politician and former policewoman. She is currently the Minister of Lands, Housing and Urban Development, in the Cabinet of Uganda. She was appointed to that position on 8 June 2021.
Gudula Naiga Basaza is a Ugandan businesswoman, entrepreneur and also the co-founder and managing director at Gudie leisure farm located in Najjera, Kira town council. The farm has a variety of leisure activities for each category of visitors. Among the activities is sport fishing, relaxing walkways which has enhanced physical fitness among the visitors.

Victoria Nakintu Nkwanga Katamba, commonly referred to as Victoria Katamba, is a Ugandan lawyer and Judge of the Uganda High Court, effective Friday 5 October 2019. She serves as the Head Judge of the Masaka High Court Circuit, since October 2021.
Winifred Mary Tarinyeba Kiryabwire, , is a Ugandan lawyer, academic and businesswoman who is the chairperson of DFCU Bank, a large commercial bank in that East African country. She was appointed to that position effective 1 April 2022.
