Anders Bircow (born 15 December 1951 in Helsinge) is a Danish actor and comedian. He is best known as a member of the comedy act Linie 3. [1] [2]

Anders Bircow was born in the town of Helsinge, and attended schools in Nærum, Ramløse and Helsinge. He received an education as a bank worker in Helsinge, and later worked as a school teacher in Vorgod in Herning. [3] He received an education as an actor at Aarhus Theatre, and have had roles at most of the teatres in Copenhagen.

Bircow played guitar and bass in a band called Cokes from the age of 13 until adulthood. He joined Skuespillerskolen (Drama school) at the Århus city’s local theatre. In 1979 he formed the comedy group Linie 3 along with Preben Kristensen, with whom he had previously had the four-man group Barbershop Harmony, and Thomas Eje. Linie 3 premiered their first TV show in 1980. [4]

In 2001 Linie 3 appeared in a millennium show called Rundrejsen 2001 that was seen by more than 300,000 people. [5] Linie 3 had their 25th anniversary-show in 2004. They then broke up for some years and Eje spent time in the US; they reformed in 2011. [6] Their comeback show in April 2012 at the Tivoli Theatre in Copenhagen was a success and was followed by a nationwide tour. [7]

Bircow has also appeared in his own one-man-show, mostly at company and private events. He has directed plays and translated drama and animated cartoons. He has voiced many cartoon characters and is the official voice of Mickey Mouse in Denmark. [8]

In addition to acting and entertainment, he was the chief representative of Amway in Denmark for many years. [9] He lodged a successful complaint against a newspaper which characterised this as investment in a pyramid scheme. [6]

Bircow is married to Marion Bircow and has three daughters, Caroline, Julia and Sophia. [9] [10]

Boldklubben Fremad Amager is a Danish professional football club based in the district of Amager Vest, Copenhagen. As of the 2020–21 season, the club's senior men's team play in 1st Division, the second-tier of professional football in the country. Per Anders Bjerregaard is a Danish educated physician (cand.med.) and former footballer, executive director and chairman of Danish football club Brøndby IF.

Thomas Eje is a Danish actor and entertainer. Considered one of the most popular entertainers in Denmark, he trained at the Odense Conservatory of Music and as an actor at the Aarhus Theatre, and has appeared in musicals and been honored with the Årets Dirch at the annual Danish "Review of Revues", but is best known for his work with comedy trio Linie 3 together with Preben Kristensen and Anders Bircow, as well as for a number of one-man shows. On November 15, 2006 he made his Las Vegas debut at the Suncoast Casino, under the moniker Tom Dane. After four years in Las Vegas he returned to Denmark, and Linie 3 held a successful comeback show followed by a tour. Eje is accredited for his musical talent, being able to play "an impressive number" of different musical instruments.
