Angel or Alien is the sixth studio album by American progressive metalcore band Born of Osiris, released on July 2, 2021 through Sumerian Records.
In February, the album was announced as the first of two Born of Osiris albums the band has written in 2021. [1] In March 2021, the ensemble released a lyric video for "White Nile", the first single from the album, [2] along with a playthrough video released in May. [3] Also in May, "Angel or Alien", the second single from the album, was released, and announced the release of the album for July 2, 2021. [4] On July 1, 2021, one day before the album's release, the third single "Poster Child" was released. [5] A teaser video for the album was posted a week prior, on June 25. [6] Born of Osiris toured in support of Angel or Alien, but due to COVID-19 pandemic restrictions, they have only five shows announced for late July in Texas. [7]

A Higher Place is the debut studio album by American progressive metalcore band Born of Osiris. It was released through Sumerian Records on July 7, 2009. A Higher Place debuted at number 73 on the Billboard 200, selling over 6,000 copies. It was the first album to have any creative input outside of the band's mastermind and drummer, Cameron Losch. Up until this point, he had written and recorded everything short of vocals on every song. Though this is mostly true for A Higher Place as well, "Exist" was written and recorded by Lee Mckinney. An earlier instrumental version of this song can be found under the title "Glass Bluntz". Though the two versions are quite different, they share the same hook that "Exist" is mostly noted for.
Born of Osiris is an American progressive metalcore band formed in 2003 in Palatine, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago. The band currently consists of lead vocalist Ronnie Canizaro, lead guitarist Lee McKinney, rhythm guitarist/bassist Nick Rossi, drummer Cameron Losch, and keyboardist/vocalist Joe Buras. Born of Osiris has played at various festivals including the Summer Slaughter Tour and the Music as a Weapon Tour 4.
Speaker of the Dead is the fourth studio album by metalcore/nu metal band Emmure released on February 15, 2011. The record was produced by Joey Sturgis, who also produced the following full-length. Speaker of the Dead is Emmure's fourth studio release under Victory Records, completing Victory's four-album deal at the time. However, Emmure re-signed with Victory and released two later albums, Slave to the Game on April 10, 2012, and Eternal Enemies on April 15, 2014.
Awakened is the sixth studio album by American metalcore band As I Lay Dying. It is the final album released by the band before their hiatus in 2014. The album was released on September 25, 2012, through Metal Blade Records. The album was produced by Bill Stevenson and recorded at The Blasting Room in Fort Collins, Colorado and Lambesis Studios in San Diego, California. On June 22, 2012, the album title, release date, and first single were announced. On June 25, the first single "Cauterize" was released for free download and became available online for purchase the following day. On June 27, a lyric video for "Cauterize" was released along with album artwork, also the band created an event on Facebook inviting fans to participate in a music video shoot for "A Greater Foundation". Fans were able to pre-order a copy on the Rockstar Mayhem Festival tour of 2012.

The band has released five studio albums and three EPs to date. Their latest album, titled Erra, was released on March 19, 2021. They have toured with bands such as As I Lay Dying, August Burns Red, TesseracT, Born of Osiris, Ice Nine Kills, Glass Cloud, Within the Ruins, Bad Omens, I See Stars, and Texas in July.
Volumes is an American progressive metalcore band formed in Los Angeles, California in 2009. The group currently consists of bassist Raad Soudani, vocalists Michael Barr and Myke Terry, and drummer Nick Ursich. Throughout the band's history, bassist Raad Soudani has remained the only constant member. They are currently signed to Fearless Records and have released four studio albums: Via (2011), No Sleep (2014), Different Animals (2017) and Happier? (2021).
