George Georgescu was a Romanian conductor. The moving force behind the Bucharest Philharmonic Orchestra for decades beginning shortly after World War I, a protégé of Artur Nikisch and a close associate of George Enescu, he received honors from the French and communist Romanian governments and lived to make recordings in the stereo era.

Valentin Gheorghiu was a Romanian classical pianist and composer. He is regarded as a leading Romanian pianist of the twentieth century, focused on both piano concertos of the Romantic period and chamber music. He won the prize for the best performance of Enescu's Violin Sonata No. 3 at the first George Enescu International Competition in 1958, with his brother Ștefan as the violinist. He made recordings with international orchestras and conductors.

This is a list of the recordings of Gianni Schicchi, the third of a group of three one-act operas by Giacomo Puccini collectively known as Il trittico; the other operas are Il tabarro and Suor Angelica. The three were premiered at the Metropolitan Opera on 14 December 1918, and for the next three years were always played together. After 1921, however, Puccini agreed that the operas could be performed separately. Gianni Schicchi became the most popular and most frequently performed of the three, often paired with other works such as Maurice Ravel's L'heure espagnole and Richard Strauss's Salome.

The Bucharest Symphony Orchestra is a Romanian orchestra based in Bucharest, founded in 2006 by the Philson Young Association. In 2022, John Axelrod was appointed Principal Conductor of the Bucharest Symphony Orchestra. Previously, Jin Wang (2017–2019) and Benoît Fromanger occupied the leading musical position (2011–2017). Between 2006–2012, Bucharest Symphony Orchestra performed in concert halls such as the Romanian Athenaeum, National Theatre Bucharest, Romanian National Opera and Sala Palatului.

Tosca is a 2001 musical drama film written and directed by Benoît Jacquot, closely based on the 1900 opera Tosca with music by Giacomo Puccini and an Italian libretto by Luigi Illica and Giuseppe Giacosa, based in turn on the 1887 play by Victorien Sardou. The film stars soprano Angela Gheorghiu, tenor Roberto Alagna, and baritone Ruggero Raimondi, who mime their parts, sung in Italian. The soundtrack was pre-recorded in 2000 with the Royal Opera House orchestra and chorus conducted by Antonio Pappano.
