Electrecord is a Romanian record label which was founded in 1932. It was subsequently transformed into the national recording company following the socialist doctrine of centralization and was the only record label in Communist Romania.
To avoid disc importing from Western Europe and the U.S., Electrecord was often demanded to release copies of some of the discs released abroad (just as recording companies in U.S.S.R. were doing themselves). Even today it is the subject of many anecdotes complaining about the bad quality of Romanian discs; a comparison between an import and a local copy would be the most eloquent proof.[ citation needed ]
Electrecord had to balance the government's demands with those of listeners and musicians. Despite the poor quality of recordings and the lack of information on disc covers, Electrecord released a number of collection discs of which the most successful were the Formaţii de muzică pop series (translated "pop music bands"), which became Formaţii rock – "rock bands" starting with number four.
Beginning in 1990, Electrecord lost market share as record companies formed. But some of the groups who recorded for the label continued. Most discs released by Electrecord after 1990 were either greatest hits albums extracted from older recordings or remastered versions of LPs.
In June 2017, Electrecord released the album Songbird by pop singer-songwriter NAVI. [1] Electrecord went into insolvency in 2018. A new start with a new corporate concept followed in 2020. [2]
The last released by Electrecord album was in December 2022 - the CD album Se schimb ceva by the Romanian pop-singer Beni Mihai. [3]

The Năstase Cabinet was a cabinet of ministers led by Adrian Năstase that governed Romania from 28 December 2000 to 29 December 2004 during the third term of President Ion Iliescu. It was a minority cabinet formed by the winner of the 2000 parliamentary elections, PDSR, which included also members of other parties, non-parliamentary parties. It was supported by a legislative coalition which included PNL and UDMR.
Parliamentary elections were held in the Moldavian SSR in February and March 1990 to elect the 380 members of the Supreme Soviet. They were the first and only free elections to the Supreme Soviet of the MSSR, and although the Communist Party of Moldova was the only registered party allowed to contest the election, opposition candidates were allowed to run as independents. Together with affiliated groups, the Popular Front of Moldova won a landslide victory. Candidates who were openly supporters of the Popular Front won about 27% of seats; together with moderate Communists, mainly from rural districts, they commanded a majority.
The Order of the Republic is Moldova's highest order. It is awarded by the President of Moldova for exceptional merits in all fields which benefit Moldova and humanity as a whole. The order was established in July 1992 and its collar and badge are made from silver.
The 1963–64 season was FC Dinamo București's 15th season in Divizia A. Dinamo realizes the first double in history. In addition to authoritarian rule in the championship, which they won for the third consecutive time, Dinamo wins the Romanian Cup, after beating Steaua Bucharest in the final. In the European Cup, Dinamo meets the multiple champions Real Madrid.
The 1967–68 season was FC Dinamo București's 19th season in Divizia A. Dinamo wins for the third time the Romanian Cup. In the final, Dinamo defeats Rapid București after extra-time. In the championship, Dinamo finishes third, two points behind the first two teams, Steaua and FC Argeş.
Blestemul pământului, blestemul iubirii is a 1981 Romanian drama film directed by Mircea Mureșan. The film is an adaptation of Liviu Rebreanu's 1920 social novel Ion, starring Șerban Ionescu as the titular character, a poor Transylvanian peasant.
The String Quartet No. 2 in G major, Op. 22, No. 2, is a chamber music work by the Romanian composer George Enescu, composed mainly between 1950 and 1951, though it has a lengthy pre-history and received a number of revisions in 1952 and possibly early 1953. The score is dedicated to the American pianist, composer, and arts patron, Elizabeth Sprague Coolidge. A performance of it lasts about 25 minutes.
The Decet for winds in D major, Op. 14, is a chamber music work by the Romanian composer George Enescu, written in 1906 and first performed in Paris the same year. A performance lasts about 23 minutes.
The String Quartet No. 1 in E-flat major, Op. 22, No. 1, is a chamber music work by the Romanian violinist and composer George Enescu, composed between 1916 and 1920. A performance of it lasts about 45 minutes.
