Angela Wright-Scott (born November 10, 1961) is an American hurdler. She competed in the women's 400 metres hurdles at the 1984 Summer Olympics. [1]
Competing for the Florida State Seminoles track and field team, Wright-Scott won the 1983 NCAA Division I Outdoor Track and Field Championships in the 4 × 400 m. [2] [3]
Frederick Morgan Taylor was an American hurdler and the first athlete to win three Olympic medals in the 400 m hurdles. He was the flag bearer for the United States at his last Olympics in 1932.

Sandra Marie Farmer-Patrick is a Jamaican-born American former athlete who competed mainly in the 400 metres hurdles. She won silver medals in that event at the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona, and at the 1993 World Championships in Stuttgart. She also won the 400 metres hurdles at the World Cup in 1989 and 1992. Her best time for the event of 52.79 seconds (1993), is the former U.S. record. That performance once ranked her second on the world all-time list, and as of 2024, ranks her 15th on the world all-time list.
Joshua Culbreath was an American athlete who competed mainly in the 400 meter hurdles—the national outdoor champion from 1953 to 1955; three-time winner of the event in the Penn Relays in the same years, and Olympic bronze medal winner in 1956, while he was serving in the U.S. Marine Corps; and world record holder in 1957. Culbreath was inducted into the United States Marine Corps Sports Hall of Fame in 2008.
Silas Edward Southern was an American sprinter and hurdler who won a silver medal in the 400 metres hurdles at 1956 Olympics. He won another silver medal in the 4 × 400 m relay at the 1959 Pan American Games.

Four athletes from the United States participated. The competition was held on August 31, 1904. The event was won by Harry Hillman, with Frank Waller taking silver and George Poage bronze.

Angela Whyte is a Canadian hurdler in track and field athletic competition. She is a three-time Olympian in the 100m hurdles at the Summer Olympics. She has won multiple medals at both the Pan American Games and the Commonwealth Games in the 100 metres hurdles. She was a four-time All-American and a five-time Big West Conference champion in two years of competition at the University of Idaho and holds school records in the sprints, hurdles, jumps, multi-events and relays at both Idaho and the University of New Mexico. She also holds two Big West records in the 100m hurdles. She is currently an assistant track and field coach at Washington State University.

Dalilah Muhammad is an American track and field athlete who specializes in the 400 meters hurdles. She is the 2016 Rio Olympics champion and 2020 Tokyo Olympics silver medalist, becoming at the latter the then-second-fastest woman of all time in the event with her personal best of 51.58 seconds. Muhammad was second at both the 2013 and 2017 World Championships to take her first gold in 2019, setting the former world record of 52.16 s. She was the second female 400 m hurdler in history, after Sally Gunnell, to have won the Olympic, World titles and broken the world record. At both the 2019 World Championships and Tokyo Games, she also took gold as part of women's 4 × 400 metres relay team.

She is the first American woman and the last American to qualify for the Olympics in both the 400 and 800.
Dewey Lee Yoder Jr was an American hurdler, known as Lee Yoder. Yoder attended Mercersburg Academy as a youth, where he trained under Jimmy Curran. He came second in the 400 metres hurdles at the 1952 US Olympic trials, beaten only by eventual gold medalist Charles Moore. He competed in the 400 metres hurdles at the 1952 Summer Olympics.
