Angella Franklin Keihongani Katatumba (born on 21 February 1989) is a Ugandan singer, songwriter, philanthropist, diplomat and businesswoman. [1] [2]
Angella, born in Nairobi, Kenya, is the daughter of H.E Prof. Boney Mwebesa Katatumba, the Honorary Consul of Pakistan in Uganda, and Gertrude Katatumba, the proprietor of AFK Beauty Clinic Kabalagala. She has a sister named Rosemary and seven brothers: Allan, Dennis, Rugiirwa (Angella's twin brother), Colin (deceased), Ken, Ian, and Jay.
Angella received her primary education in Uganda at the Katatumba Academy before attending Belmont Senior Secondary School in Vancouver, B.C., Canada, where she earned a diploma in Public Relations. She further pursued her studies at Oxford Brookes University in England, obtaining Bachelor of Arts degrees in Economics and Law. At the same institution, Angella continued her education and earned a master's degree in International Management/Public Relations. Subsequently, she relocated to Chicago, Illinois, where she gained professional experience.
Returning to Uganda, Angella assumed the role of managing director at her late father's establishment, Hotel Diplomaté. In 2017, following her father's passing, she served as the Acting Honorary Consul of Pakistan in Uganda for two years until a new appointee was chosen by the President of Pakistan, H.E Mamnoon Hussain.
Beyond her involvement in the music industry, Angella established the Angella Katatumba Development Foundation (AKDF), an NGO that encompasses her various music-related projects.
• In 2010 The British Council appointed Angella as the Climate Change ICON in Uganda.
• On 23 May 2016, Angella was invited by the United Nations Secretary-General Ban-Ki Moon, to attend and perform at the first-ever UN World Humanitarian Summit in Istanbul, Turkey.
• On 28 November 2016 Angella was invited by the African Union to represent Uganda at the 4th Annual Humanitarian Symposium in Nairobi, Kenya.
• On 9 September 2017, Angella had her first European headline performance in Austria, dubbed ‘African Gala’ at Längenfeldgasse 13-15 Street 1120, Vienna.
Angella started to professionally record her music in Uganda. So far, she has recorded four albums.

Juliana Kanyomozi is a musician actress and entertainer. She is a multiple award-winning Ugandan pop musician, an R&B and Afro Beat Singer well known among Western Uganda's decent musicians. Juliana was born on 27 November 1980, at Toro Fort Portal in Western Uganda of the Mutooro tribe. She is one of Western Uganda's descent among other musicians including Angella Katatumba, Allan Toniks and Ray G.
K-South was a Kenyan hip-hop duo made up of "Bamboo" and "Doobeez'", now known as "Abbas Kubaff". Founded in 1995, K-South is among the most notable pioneers of the genre in Kenya. The name is an abbreviation of Kariobangi South, the Nairobi neighbourhood where they were based. The group used both English and Swahili raps in their music.
Bebe Cool is a reggae and ragga musician from Uganda. He started his career around 1997 in Nairobi, Kenya, but moved back to his native country a few years later. Bebe Cool was one of the first artists affiliated with Ogopa DJs, a production house and record label in Kenya.
Radio & Weasel was a Ugandan music Duo that performed under their record label Goodlyfe Crew a Ugandan music group with lead performers being singers Moses Radio and [Weasel Manizo]. Moses Radio provided smooth RnB vocals while Weasel's contribution is a fusion of reggae, ragga and dancehall vibes. Because of their prominence, Moses Radio and Weasel formed their own duo known as Radio and Weasel. The Lead singer Moses and Vocalist Radio died on 1 February 2018 from brain injuries after an assault by a bouncer at a club in Entebbe. Radio's attacker threw him down about 3 metres (9.8 ft) onto a concrete pavement which resulted in massive intracranial hemorrhage. Radio and Weasel also formed The Goodlyfe Crew. The crew saw many changes in its set-up but at various times included Chagga, Lenin Briton, and Lawrence. Many of its members had their own solo projects and collaborations.
Alpha Rwirangira is a Rwandan singer/song writer. He sings world music, reggae, soul R&B, and dance music all in English, Swahili and Kinyarwanda.
Edrisah Kenzo Musuuza, professionally known as Eddy Kenzo, is a Ugandan singer, music executive, the president and founder of Uganda National Musicians Federation and a member of Big Talent Entertainment. He made his breakthrough after the release of his single Stamina. He received international attention after the release of his single, "Sitya Loss" in 2014 and an accompanying viral video that featured the Ghetto Kids. In total, he has released 4 albums, including Roots in 2018 and most recently Made in Africa in 2021. Kenzo has also won a Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Award in 2018, a BET Award in 2015, and multiple All Africa Music Awards.

Daniel Lubwama Kigozi is a Ugandan rapper and record producer. Starting off his career, he was part of the award-winning hip hop group Klear Kut, along with fellow rappers The Mith & JB, that introduced the term "Ugaflow" to describe Uganda's hip hop scene. Navio is best known for his successful solo career with hits such as "Ngalo", "Bugumu", "One & Only", and "On and On".
Cinderella Sanyu is a Ugandan musician. She was one of the original members of Blu*3, along with Lilian Mbabazi and Jackie Chandiru. She has performed with P-Square, Wahu, Beenie Man, Ne-Yo, Tiwa savage, Bobi Wine, Shaggy, Chameleon, Bebe Cool, Davido, Mr. G and Radio & Weasel.

Sister Charity is a western Ugandan musical artist and TV personality. She presents the morning show (Sisimuka) on TV West in Mbarara, Uganda. She is popularly known for her 2001 hit song Grade. She sings mostly in her native language Runyankore and then Luganda and English. She was listed among the best artists from Western Uganda alongside Juliana Kanyomozi, Ray G, Angella Katatumba and Toniks on Hi Pipo.
