Anil Sinha or Anil Kumar Sinha (born 16 January 1956) [2] is a Bihar Cadre Indian Police Service officer of the 1979 batch [3] and was the Director of the Central Bureau of Investigation till 2 December 2016. [4] He had earlier served as DIG and IG in Special Protection Group,New Delhi,and Additional Secretary in Central Vigilance Commission. [5]
Anil Sinha possesses a post-graduate degree in psychology and an MPhil degree in strategic studies. He is an alumnus of the Kennedy School of Government,Harvard University. He also attended the National Defence College,India. [6]
Anil Sinha held several positions in his State cadre in Vigilance &Anti-Corruption,Administration,Special Branch &other Divisions as SP,DIG,IG &ADG. He has served as Additional Director-General of Police (Law &Order) and thereafter as Additional DG,he also headed the Vigilance Investigation Bureau. He has been associated with the investigations of a number of sensitive cases,including a large number of trap cases and Disproportionate Assets Cases against corrupt public servants. [7]
He had received the Police Medal for Meritorious Service in 2000 and the President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Service in 2006. [8]

Vivekanand Sinha is the Inspector General of Police of the Durg range of Chhattisgarh. He has previously served as the Inspector General of Police of Bastar region of Chhattisgarh. He has been an IPS since 1996. He was appointed as the head of the Special Investigation Team (SIT) for the investigation of Jhiram Valley Attack by government of Chhattisgarh on 2 January 2019. The Jhiram Valley Attack was a naxal attack which killed top Congress leaders of Chhattisgarh in 2013 during a political rally in Darbha. The new SIT has been formed by the newly elected Congress government of Chhattisgarh to probe into it He has also served as the DIG of Special Protection Group which looks after the security of the Prime Minister of India. During his tenure as IG in Bilaspur,Sinha walked on coal barefoot to convince the locals that there is no magic in walking on coal. This was done to strengthen the human rights of women who were being harassed or boycotted after being labelled as witches.

Subodh Kumar Jaiswal is an Indian police officer who served as the director of Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). He is a 1985 batch Indian Police Service (IPS) officer and former Director General of Police,Maharashtra. He was previously the police commissioner of Mumbai,the largest city in India and the seventh most populous city in the world. Jaiswal was with the Research and Analysis Wing (R&AW),India's external intelligence agency for nine years,during which he served as the additional secretary of R&AW for three years. Jaiswal has also served in Intelligence Bureau and Maharashtra ATS Chief. He was the head of the Central Industrial Security Force. Jaiswal's career began in 1985 as a trainee officer in Aurangabad,where he was subsequently assigned the full posting as the Assistant Commissioner of Police.
