Anish Dayal Singh is a 1988- batch Indian Police Service (IPS) officer from Manipur cadre and currently serving as the Director General of the Central Reserve Police Force of India since 1 January 2024. [1] [2] [3] [4]
Singh was born in 1964 in Prayagraj city of Uttar Pradesh,India and He hails from Rajput family and It was from here that he completed his primary and higher education. [5]
After being selected for the Indian Police Service in 1988,he completed training as a police officer at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy located in Hyderabad,Telangana. [6]
After completion of training,he was allotted Manipur cadre on August 21,1989 and His brother Saumitra Dayal Singh is a judge in Allahabad High Court. [7]
Singh previously holds important position in his career,He was served as the Director general (Additional Charge) of ITBP and SSB and is currently serving as the Director general of CRPF from 1 January 2024. [7] [8] [9] [10]
Singh was awarded to Indian Police Medal awarded by the central government for Meritorious Service (2004-2012) for his special service by the central government of India. [7]
