Pankaj Kumar Singh (born 19 December 1962) was the 29th Director General of BSF, and an Indian Police Service officer of 1988 batch. He is the son of Ex BSF DG Prakash Singh. [1] He has been appointed as Deputy National Security Advisor of India in January 2023 for a period of 2 years. [2]
Pankaj Kumar Singh holds degrees of BSc (Hons.) Physics from Hindu College, Delhi University, M.Phil. from Chennai University, LL.B from Delhi University, and PG Diploma in Business Administration from IIM Ahmedabad. [3]
He is the son of former Director General of Border Security Force, Prakash Singh, who served as the DG of BSF from 1993 to 1994. [4]
He has been decorated with several DG's Discs and commendations. He also got awarded with UN Peace Medal (Bar), Police Medal for Meritorious Service and President Police Medal for Distinguished Service.

Bhupendra Singh Yadav is the Director General of Police of Rajasthan in the Indian Police Service. Yadav is an IPS officer of the 1986 "batch". He has been awarded the Police Medal and President's Police Medal in 2002 and 2016 respectively.
Prakash Singh is a retired Indian Police Service officer, who rose to the highest rank of Director General of Police (DGP). He has served as Chief of the Border Security Force (BSF), Uttar Pradesh Police and Assam Police. He is considered one of the best police officers for his role as key architect for Police reforms in India. After his retirement from service in 1996, he filed a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) in the Supreme Court of India. The landmark verdict of PIL came in 2006, in which the Supreme Court has given specific directions to the central and state governments to carry out structural changes in the police with a view to insulating it from extraneous pressures and making it accountable to the people.
Pramod Kumar Thakur or P. K. Thakur, is a retired Indian Police Service (I.P.S.) officer of Bihar state in India, currently serving as Information commissioner in the state of Bihar. He served as Director General of Police of Bihar Police from June 2014 until his retirement in February 2018. He belongs to the I.P.S. batch of 1980. He has also served as Director General in Bihar. He was awarded with National Security Guard Disc for his outstanding work in the Central Police Organization as Inspector General (Administration). He was appointed on the post of Information commissioner of Bihar State Information Commission in October 2018.

Rajiv Rai Bhatnagar is a retired Indian Police Service-1983 batch officer of the Uttar Pradesh cadre. Mukul Goel is a retired Indian civil servant. He is the former Director General civil defence at Indian state Uttar Pradesh and had previously served as the Additional Director General (ADG) of Border Security Force. He was suspended by the erstwhile Mayawati's government in 2007 for alleged irregularities in police recruitment. He is 1987 batch IPS officer of Uttar Pradesh cadre. On 11 May 2022 Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath removed Director General of Police Mukul Goel from his post for inefficiency and neglecting his work. Thereafter,he worked as DGP at UP Police.

Deka's tenure as the Director of the Intelligence Bureau started from 1 July as his predecessor Arvind Kumar's tenure ended on 30 June 2022.
