Ann Blair Thornton [1] (born October 5, 1989) is a former American beauty pageant titleholder from Bowling Green, Kentucky who was named Miss Kentucky 2011. [2]

Biography

Thornton won the title of Miss Kentucky on July 16, 2011, when she received her crown from outgoing titleholder Djuan Trent. [3] Thornton's platform, Alzheimer's awareness and research, was inspired by her grandfather's own struggle with Alzheimer's disease. [4] [5] Her competition talent was a piano performance of Rachmaninoff's Prelude in G Minor. [3] Thornton is majoring in English and economics at Western Kentucky University, [6] where she is a sister of Chi Omega sorority. After graduation, she planned to attend law school and become an attorney which never came into fruition. [4] [7] She was named The Quality of Life Award Winner at the Miss America 2012 pageant. [8] At the age of 17, Thornton won the title of Miss Kentucky's Outstanding Teen in 2007, and went on to compete in the Miss America's Outstanding Teen pageant in 2008, where she finished 4th runner-up and won the Troy Scholarship. In 2011, she was crowned Miss California USA after originally placing 1st runner-up to Alyssa Campanella. When Campanella won Miss USA 2011, Blair was crowned as successor on June 25.

Alyssa Marie Campanella is an American model, blogger, and beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned Miss USA 2011. Having previously been crowned Miss California USA 2011, Campanella was the sixth woman representing California to win the Miss USA title. As Miss USA, Campanella represented the United States at Miss Universe 2011, where she placed in the top sixteen. A native of New Jersey, Campanella was also crowned Miss New Jersey Teen USA 2007 and placed as the first runner-up at Miss Teen USA 2007.

Miss Americas Outstanding Teen 2008

Miss America's Outstanding Teen 2008 was the 3rd Miss America's Outstanding Teen pageant held at the Linda Chapin Theater in the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida on August 11, 2007. At the conclusion of the event, Maria DeSantis of Texas crowned her successor Caitlin Brunell of Virginia. The pageant was hosted by Miss America 2007 Lauren Nelson and performer Billy Flanigan.
