Anna Reshma Rajan is an Indian film actress and nurse, who appears in Malayalam films. She made her acting debut in 2017 with Angamaly Diaries . She works as a nurse in a private hospital in Kochi. [1]

Personal life

Anna Rajan was born in Aluva, Kerala to Sheeba and K. C. Rajan. She has a brother, Shaun. [2] She has an elder brother named Shaun. Her father died of a heart attack while she was studying in college, the sudden demise of her father put a lot of financial pressure on her family, so she had to take up jobs while in college to support the family financially. [3] Most of Anna's education took place in Aluva, where she did her schooling at the Nirmala Higher Secondary School, after which she completed her eleventh and twelfth standard at St Francis College in Aluva. She studied nursing from Government Medical College, Ernakulam.

Career

She worked as a nurse in Rajagiri Hospital in Aluva before foraying into films. [1] She was identified by producer Vijay Babu and director Lijo Jose Pellissery after seeing her face in a hoarding in Kerala. They made her audition for the role of Lichy in Angamaly Diaries . Including her, the film introduced 86 debutant actors. [4] In the film she is credited as Reshma Rajan. After that, she preferred to be credited as Anna Rajan. [5] For her performance, she received nominated for Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actress – Malayalam. [6]

Her second film was the Lal Jose-directed Velipadinte Pusthakam (2017), in which she played the female lead role opposite Mohanlal. [7] [8] In 2019, she acted in Lonappante Mamodeesa starring Jayaram [9] and Madhura Raja opposite Mammootty. [10] In 2020, she played the role of Koshy's wife Ruby in the action drama Ayyappanum Koshiyum alongside Prithviraj Sukumaran.
