Anna Sprung (born 16 May 1975) is a Russian biathlete. She competed in the women's sprint event at the 1998 Winter Olympics. [1] After the winter Olympics, she competed for Austria. [1]

Ireland sent a delegation to compete at the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin, Italy from 10–26 February 2006. This was Ireland's fourth appearance at a Winter Olympic Games. The Irish delegation to Turin consisted of four athletes, two alpine skiers, one cross-country skier, and one skeleton racer. The best performance by any Irish competitor at these Olympics was 20th, by David Connolly in the men's skeleton race.

Anna-Maria Müller East German luger (1949–2009)

Anna-Maria Müller was an East German luger who competed in the late 1960s and early 1970s. She won the gold medal in the women's singles event at the 1972 Winter Olympics in Sapporo. At the previous Winter Olympics in Grenoble, she initially finished second after the competition was halted to three runs due to bad weather, but was disqualified with her East German teammates Ortrun Enderlein and Angela Knösel when it was discovered that they had illegally heated their runners. Enderlein, who was leading at the time, and Müller were stripped of their respective medals as a result.

Anna Orlova is a retired Latvian luger who competed at six Winter Olympics between 1992 and 2010. She won the silver medal in the mixed team event at the 2003 FIL World Luge Championships in Sigulda, Latvia and finished fourth in the women's singles event at those same championships.
