The DDR-Oberliga was the top-level association football league in East Germany.
Oleg Vladimirovich Blokhin, or Oleh Volodymyrovych Blokhin, is a Ukrainian and Soviet former football player and manager. Regarded as one of the greatest footballers of his generation, Blokhin was a standout striker for Dynamo Kyiv and the Soviet Union.
The Ukrainian Premier League or UPL is the highest division of Ukrainian annual football championship. Originally known as the Vyshcha Liha it was formed in 1991 during the 1992 Ukrainian football championship upon discontinuation of the 1991 Soviet football championship and included the Ukraine-based clubs that competed previously in the Soviet top three tiers competitions as well as better clubs of the Ukrainian republican competitions. The initial season of the league featured six former Soviet Top League clubs among which were Dynamo, Shakhtar, Chornomorets, Dnipro, Metalist, Metalurh as well as four more clubs that previously also competed at the top league.

Andriy Mykolayovych Nesmachnyi is a retired Russian-born Ukrainian footballer. He has spent his entire career at Dynamo Kyiv in the Ukrainian Premier League. He was a skillful, attacking left-back who could also play as central defender and left midfielder. Nesmachniy also played for the Ukraine national football team and is the second most capped foreign-born player for Ukraine with 67 matches.

The Soviet Top League, known after 1970 as the Higher League, served as the top division (tier) of Soviet Union football from 1936 until 1991. The league's name was a conditional designation used for brevity since being completely owned and governed by the Football Federation of the Soviet Union. The full official name was the USSR Championship in football: Top League. An attempt to create an independent league as autonomously governed organization during "perestroika" period was denied by the Federation due to political culture in the Soviet Union.

His vision was a club that was "managed seriously from a sporting and financial perspective". Former professional player Christian Backs became the new coach for the 2004–05 season. Rajko Fijalek served as assistant coach and former professional goalkeeper Bodo Rudwaleit as goalkeeping coach. Central players in the team were Robert Rudwaleit, Nico Thomaschewski, Dennis Kutrieb, Jörn Lenz and Danny Kukulies. BFC Dynamo finished is first season in the NOFV-Oberliga Nord, since returning from the insolvency crisis, in sixth place.
