Wheelchair tennis is one of the forms of tennis adapted for wheelchair users. The size of the court, net height and rackets are the same, but there are two major differences from pedestrian tennis: athletes use specially designed wheelchairs, and the ball may bounce up to two times, where the second bounce may also occur outside the court.
Natalia Dorota Partyka is a Polish table tennis player. Born without a right hand and forearm, she participates in competitions for able-bodied athletes as well as in competitions for athletes with disabilities. Partyka reached the last 32 of the London 2012 Olympic women's table tennis.
Two-time defending champion Esther Vergeer and her partner Korie Homan defeated Annick Sevenans and Aniek van Koot in the final, 6–2, 6–3 to win the women's doubles wheelchair tennis title at the 2009 French Open. It was their second step towards an eventual Grand Slam.
Esther Vergeer defeated Daniela di Toro in the final, 6–0, 6–0 to win the women's singles wheelchair tennis title at the 2011 Australian Open. It was her eighth Australian Open singles title and 17th major singles overall. It also marked the fourth time that Vergeer did not drop a game during a major final, and she only lost four games en route to the title. The win in the final was her 404th consecutive match win.
Daniela "Danni" Di Toro is an Australian wheelchair tennis and table tennis player. Di Toro was the 2010 French Open doubles champion and has also been the Masters double champion. In singles, Di Toro is the former world number one and two time masters finalist. In 2015, she moved to para-table tennis and represented Australia at the 2016 Rio Paralympics, where she was team captain with Kurt Fearnley. At the 2020 Tokyo Paralympics, her sixth Paralympics, she was the team captain and Opening Ceremony flag bearer with Ryley Batt.
Defending champion Esther Vergeer and her partner Marjolein Buis defeated Sabine Ellerbrock and Yui Kamiji in the final, 6–0, 6–1 to win the women's doubles wheelchair tennis title at the 2012 French Open.
Jiske Griffioen and Aniek van Koot defeated Lucy Shuker and Jordanne Whiley in the final, 6–1, 6–2 to win the ladies' doubles wheelchair tennis title at the 2012 Wimbledon Championships. Griffioen completed the career Grand Slam with the win.
Sharon Walraven is a Dutch wheelchair tennis player. She became paraplegic at age 23 after complications following a fall while she was ice-skating. She has won seven Grand Slams doubles titles partnering compatriot Esther Vergeer. At the 2008 Paralympics in Beijing she won the gold medal in the women's doubles competition. At the 2000 Paralympics in Sydney she won a silver medal in the women's singles competition. Walraven has a highest ranking of No.2 in singles and No.1 in doubles.
Aniek van Koot is a Dutch wheelchair tennis player who is a former world No. 1 in both singles and doubles.
Heath Arthur Davidson, is an Australian wheelchair tennis player. Davidson is a four-time Australian Open doubles champion, all partnering Dylan Alcott. He has also won two Paralympic medals, a gold and silver in doubles at the 2016 Rio and 2020 Tokyo Paralympics, respectively.
Chantal Vandierendonck is a Dutch former professional wheelchair tennis player. Vandierendonck won various wheelchair tennis championships held by the International Tennis Federation and multiple Paralympic medals from 1988 to 1996. She was inducted into the International Tennis Hall of Fame in 2014.

Katharina Krüger is a German wheelchair tennis player who competes in international level events. In the singles she is a three-time quarterfinalist in the Australian Open and four-time quarterfinalist in the French Open. She has participated at three Summer Paralympic Games and reached the second round in the singles' events. In the doubles she was a runner-up in the 2009 Australian Open where she partnered with Agnieszka Wysocka and lost to Korie Homan and Esther Vergeer in the final. Krüger has used a wheelchair from an early age as she was born with spina bifida.
Beth Ann Arnoult-Ritthaler is a retired American wheelchair tennis player who competed in international level events. She was a silver medalist at the 2007 Parapan American Games. She was a quarterfinalist in the women's singles in the 2008 Summer Paralympics and was fourth place in the women's doubles with Kaitlyn Verfuerth.
Dorrie Timmermanns-Van Hall is a retired Dutch wheelchair tennis player who competed in international level events. She has her lower limbs amputated due to complications from meningococcal sepsis. Her highest achievement was reaching the semifinals at the quads' doubles at the 2008 Summer Paralympics when she partnered with Bas van Erp.

Johana Martínez Vega is a Colombian wheelchair tennis player. She is a three-time silver medalist at the Parapan American Games in the women's doubles events in 2011, 2015 and 2019. She often collaborates with compatriot Angélica Bernal in women's doubles events. She is the first ever South American female wheelchair tennis player to have competed at the Paralympics.
