Anshitha Akbarsha, also known as Anshida, is an Indian actress who appears in Tamil and Malayalam language television shows. Anshitha made her debut with the 2019 Malayalam series Kabani . [2] [3] [4] She also participated as a contestant in Bigg Boss 8 in 2024. [5] [6]

Career

Anshitha first made her appearance in television with the Malayalam serial Kabani which aired on Zee Keralam playing the role Rambha. In 2021, Anshitha appeared in the serial Koodevide which aired on Asianet and she played the lead role of Soorya Kaimal. In 2022, she made her debut into Tamil television with the serial Chellamma which aired on Star Vijay where she once again played a lead role and received praise for her performance in the series. [7] In 2024, she participated in the comedy cooking show Cooku with Comali season 5 as a comali.

In October 2024, Anshitha appeared on the reality show Bigg Boss 8 as a contestant which aired on Star Vijay. [8]

The first season of the Malayalam-language version of the Indian reality television series Bigg Boss was telecast on Asianet from 24 June 2018 to 30 September 2018, lasting 99 episodes. It was produced by Endemol Shine India and actor Mohanlal was the host of the show. The show follows a total of 18 contestants, who are isolated from the outside world for 98 days in a custom built house. Each week, one or more of the housemates are evicted by a public vote.

Cooku with Comali, also known by the acronym CWC, is an Indian Tamil-language comedy-based cooking competition show aired on Star Vijay and streams on Disney+ Hotstar where the contestants are paired each week with comedians (comalis) who are amateur cooks. The first season premiered on 16 November 2019 and ended on 23 February 2020. The second season premiered on 14 November 2020 and ended on 14 April 2021. The third season premiered on 22 January 2022 and ended on 24 July 2022. The fourth season premiered on 28 January 2023 and ended on 30 July 2023. The contestants along with their comalis are challenged every week and are judged by Chef Damu and Chef Venkatesh Bhat until season 4.
