The Asianet Television Awards (ATA) is presented by Asianet TV Channel. It is a promotional platform of Asianet's TV shows. Since TV actors and actress' lack a strong society like Association of Malayalam Movie Artists, Asianet conducts functions to token their actors, directors, producers and production houses alternatively. The awards ceremony was co-sponsored by Lux in the year 2005 which was titled as Asianet Kudumbam awards [6] later Confident Group took up the sponsorship in the next 2 years. Then Ayu:Care, Nirapara, Doublehourse were the title sponsors. The function is normally held in Kozhikode, Palakkad, Kottayam, Angamaly and Thiruvananthapuram cities in Kerala. It was also held thrice in Al Saj Convention centre Trivandrum.

Kaviyoor Ponnamma is an Indian actress who appears in Malayalam films and television. She began her career performing in theatre dramas before foraying into cinema. She has also acted in TV serials and commercials and has playback singing credits in few films. Ponnamma is a four-time Kerala State Film Award for Second Best Actress winner. Sai Kumar, also credited as Saikumar, is an Indian actor who appears in Malayalam films. He is the son of Malayalam actor late Kottarakkara Sreedharan Nair. He appears in both positive and negative roles. He notably plays the hero role in Ramji Rao Speaking, and the villain in Makkal Mahatmyam.

Parasparam was an Indian Malayalam television thriller series that was broadcast on Asianet. It is an official remake of Star Plus's serial Diya Aur Baati Hum. The series premiered on 22 July 2013. It starred Gayatri Arun and Vivek Gopan and was produced by Ross Petals. The last episode aired on 31 August 2018 with 1,524 episodes and is Malayalam's longest running soap opera.
