Shobi Thilakan is an Indian actor and voice-over artist who works prominently in Malayalam films and television. Son of late actor Thilakan Shobi has won the Kerala State Film Award as the best dubbing artist in 2021. [1] [2]

Early life and career

Shobi is the son of famed actor Thilakan and one of the industry's most well-known dubbing artists. his brother is Shammi

He provides the on-screen voice for a number of actors in films and television shows. He is currently seen in the show 'ManjilVirinjaPoovu', in which he plays a hefty part. Shobi was recently seen in a cameo in 'Ammayariyathe.' The award for best dubbing artist went to Shobi Thilakan. He received the prize for his performance in the film Bhoomiyile Manohara Swargayajyam.

Manjil Virinja Poovu is an Indian Malayalam-language television drama. It premiered on 4 March 2019 on Mazhavil Manorama everyday at 7.30 PM IST and streams on ManoramaMax. The show is produced by Prabha Unnithan under the banner of Sree Movies. It stars Malavika Wales in the main lead role along with Rekha Ratheesh, Yuva Krishna and Akhil Anand. It is one of the top-rated TV series in Mazhavil Manorama since its inception. It is currently the longest running Soap opera in Mazhavil Manorama.

P. R. Shyamala was an Indian novelist and short story writer of Malayalam literature. Known for novels such as Sararanthal and Makayiram Kayal and short stories compiled in Harishri and Ariyapedatha Peedanangal, she was a member of the Sahitya Pravartaka Sahakarana Sanghom, the general council of the Kerala Sahitya Akademi and the advisory board of the Central Board of Film Certification. Three of her stories have been adapted into films and Sararanthal was an award winning television series made in 1991, based on her novel of the same name.
