Viji Thampi is an Indian film director, actor, right-wing politician, and social activist who works in Malayalam films. [1] Thampi is a member of Thiruvananthapuram regional board of the Central Board of Film Certification and the State Advisor of Kerala Kshetra Samrakshana Samithi. In 2021, Thampi was appointed as the Kerala State President of the Vishva Hindu Parishad. [2] [3] He was also a Jury member of National film awards declaration committee in 2022.
After making his directorial debut with the 1988 film David David Mr. David, [4] Thampi directed a series of comedy films in the 1990s which turned out to be commercial hits. Viji Thampi is known for appearing in cameo roles in his own films. He has also directed the Malayalam crime thriller television series Black and White and later, the mythological television serial Devimahathmyam.
He is the son-in-law of Malayalam movie actor Jagannatha Varma. He lives in Palkulangara, Thiruvananthapuram.

Balachandra Menon is an Indian actor, director and script writer. He made a number of films in the 1980s and 1990s. He has directed 40 films and has acted in over 100. He won two National Film Awards including the National Film Award for Best Actor for his performance as station master Ismail the 1998 film Samaantharangal, which was also directed by him. He has also worked as a distributor, editor, composer, singer and producer in the Malayalam film industry. He has found space in the Limca Book of Records for the maximum number of films directed, scripted and acted in.
Ranjith Balakrishnan is an Indian film director, screenwriter, producer, and actor who works in Malayalam cinema. Ranjith made his directorial debut in 2001 with Ravanaprabhu, the sequel to Devaasuram. His films Thirakkatha and Indian Rupee won the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Malayalam in 2008 and 2011 respectively. He is also the current chairman of Kerala State Chalachitra Academy.
