Sreeram Ramachandran is an Indian actor who works in Malayalam films, TV series, short films, music albums and web series [1] [2]

Career

Sreeram made his movie debut in 2010 through Malarvadi Arts Club, directed by Vineeth Sreenivasan. His second collaboration with Vineeth was Thattathin Marayathu (2012). He played the lead role in the sitcom Chumma, telecast on Amrita TV. [3]

In 2013, he acted as the second lead in Artist, alongside Fahadh Faasil and Ann Augustine. [4] He played the lead character Jeeva in the TV series Kasthooriman on Asianet. [5]

Early life

Sreeram Ramachandran was born in Kozhikode, Kerala. [6] His father, Palai C. K. Ramachandran, is an accomplished senior Carnatic musician [7] and the primary disciple of Sri Semmangudi Srinivasa Iyer. [8] [9]

During his post-college days, he was selected by Vineeth Sreenivasan to play a small role in his directorial debut Malarvadi Arts Club and later in Thattathin Marayathu .

His brother Jayaram Ramachandran is a graphics designer and animator in the film industry. He went to college at Chinmaya Vidyalaya Kozhikode and pursued engineering at AWH Engineering College, Kozhikode.

Thattathin Marayathu is the soundtrack to the 2012 film of the same name directed by Vineeth Sreenivasan starring Nivin Pauly and Isha Talwar. The soundtrack featured 10 songs composed by Shaan Rahman and lyrics written by Sreenivasan himself along with Anu Elizabeth Jose and Engandiyur Chandrasekharan. The soundtrack was released on 8 June 2012 through Satyam Audios and Mathrubhumi Music, to generally positive reviews from critics and the song "Muthuchippi Poloru" was a chartbuster upon release. Rahman was felicitated with several accolades for his work.

Jacobinte Swargarajyam is the soundtrack to the 2016 film of the same name directed by Vineeth Sreenivasan, starring Nivin Pauly and Renji Panicker. The album featured five songs composed by Shaan Rahman with lyrics written by Manu Manjith, B. K. Harinarayanan, Rzee and Ashwin Gopakumar. The soundtrack to the film was released on 20 February 2016 through Muzik 247, preceded by the lead single "Dubai". The album opened to positive reviews from music critics.
