Sanusha Santhosh is an Indian actress who works predominantly in Malayalam cinema. She started her career as a child artist to leading actress and supporting character roles. She also appears in some Tamil, Telugu and Kannada films too.

Early life

Sanusha was born in Pallikunnu, Kannur [2] to Usha and Santhosh.She has studied at Sreepuram School, Pallikunnu Kannur. [2] After her graduation in BCom from SN College, Kannur, [3] she did MA in Sociology at St. Teresa's College. [4] She also completed MSc in Global Mental Health & Society from University of Edinburgh, Scotland. Sanusha has a younger brother Sanoop Santhosh, who is a child artist, known for his acting in Philips and the Monkey Pen . [5]

Career

After performing in television serials, Sanusha started her film career in 2000 at the age of 5 with the movie Dada Sahib . [6] She became a star in Malayalam films as baby Sanusha giving stellar performances in Meesa Madhavan , Kaazhcha , Mampazhakkalam etc.[ citation needed ] She won the Kerala State Film Award for Best Child Artist in 2004 for her performances in Kaazhcha and Soumyam. She debuted as a heroine in Tamil film Naalai Namadhe [7] followed by demure roles in Renigunta , Nandhi and Eththan . [8] In Malayalam she debuted as heroine opposite Dileep in Mr.Marumakan. [9] In the Malayalam movie, Kuttiyum Kolum Sanusha acted against the midget actor Guinness Pakru, the role gave her rave reviews. [10] In Tamil film Alex Pandian she did an item song with Karthi . [11]

Sanusha won a Special Jury Mention at the 2013 Kerala State Film Awards for Zachariayude Garbhinikal . [12]

Meghamalhar is a 2001 Indian Malayalam-language romance film written and directed by Kamal from a story by Iqbal Kuttippuram. It stars Biju Menon and Samyuktha Varma in the lead roles while Poornima Mohan, Sreenath, Shivaji, Siddique, and Raghavan play supporting roles. The film was jointly produced by M. V. Shreyams Kumar for Mathrubhumi and Asianet. It won two Kerala State Film Awards and two Filmfare Awards South. The movie was reported to be inspired by the 1945 British movie Brief Encounter.

Sruthi Jose, better known by her screen name Sruthi Lakshmi, is an Indian actress acting mainly in Malayalam films and television serials. She is also a trained classical dancer. She received a Kerala state television award for best actress in 2016 for teleserial Pokkuveyil.

Sreeja Ravi is an Indian voice artist who has lent her dubbing voice to over 2000 films in total and also performed voices for numerous commercial ads. She started her dubbing career in the year 1975 for the movie Uttarayanam, directed by G. Aravindan. She is the winner of four time Kerala State Film Award, one Tamil Nadu State Film Award and two Kerala Film Critics Awards for dubbing.

Zachariayude Garbhinikal is a 2013 Indian Malayalam–language comedy-drama film written and directed by Aneesh Anwar. The film narrates the incidents in the life of a gynaecologist, Dr.Zacharia, and five women who come into his life. Lal appears as the gynaecologist while Rima Kallingal, Sanusha, Geetha, Asha Sarath, and Sandra Thomas play the roles of five pregnant women. Vijay Babu, Sandra Thomas, and Sandra's father, Thomas Joseph Pattathanam, produced this film under the banner of Friday Film House. The film started production in May 2013 in Kochi, Kerala.

Akshara Kishor, credited as Baby Akshara, is an Indian child actress who predominantly works in Malayalam television soap's and films. She is known for her role as Balachandrika in the series Karuthamuthu on Asianet. In 2014, she made her debut film through Mathai Kuzhappakkaranalla, directed by Akku Akbar.

The 37th Kerala Film Critics Association Awards, honouring the best Malayalam films released in 2013, were announced in January 2014.
