Cooku with Comali 5 is the fifth season of the Tamil reality cooking TV show Cooku with Comali. It is scheduled to premiere on Star Vijay on April 27, 2024, and will air every Saturday and Sunday at 21:30. [1]

Contents

Production

Development

The first four seasons were produced by Media Masons and have been broadcast on Star Vijay since 2019. The fifth installment of the show is now under the production of a new company. While the format of the show remain the same, a notable change happened in this season is within the judging panel, with Chef Venkatesh Bhat being succeeded by [9] Madhampatty Rangaraj. Casting

Pugazh, Sunitha Gogoi, Mohamed Kuraishi, Kpy Sarath return to Comalis the contestants during the fifth season of Sa Cooku with Comali. Ramar, Shabishabnam, Nanjil Vijayan, Anshita Akbarsha and Vyishali Kemkar is the new Comalis to join for the fifth season. However after one week, Nanjil Vijayan left the show in May 2024 as he was announcement in social media, "Hi friends, I am leaving the 'Cooku with Comali' show. I have no problem with the channel, and after this, I will not appear in any show produced by the box office company." [14]

Release

The fifth season of Cooku with Comali The two judges promo was unveiled on 18 March 2024, [15] The second promo was unveiled on 27 March 2024, featuring hosts Rakshan and Manimegalai with Sunitha Gogoi, Mohamed Kuraishi and Pugazh. [16] [17] The third promo was unveiled on 18 April 2024, revealing the release date. [18] [19]

The show started airing on Star Vijay on 27 April 2024, [20] replacing Jodi Are U Ready time slot.

Promotion

Star Vijay was promoted this show by making advertisement with old Cooku with Comali Contestants likes (Vanitha Vijayakumar, [21] Kani Thiru, Shakeela, Ashwin Kumar Lakshmikanthan, Uma Riyaz Khan, Gnanasambandam, Mime Gopi, Sivaangi Krishnakumar and Shrutika).

Cooku with Comali, also known by the acronym CWC, is an Indian Tamil-language comedy-based cooking competition show aired on Star Vijay and streams on Disney+ Hotstar where the contestants are paired each week with comedians (comalis) who are amateur cooks. The first season premiered on 16 November 2019 and ended on 23 February 2020. The second season premiered on 14 November 2020 and ended on 14 April 2021. The third season premiered on 22 January 2022 and ended on 24 July 2022. The fourth season premiered on 28 January 2023 and ended on 30 July 2023. The contestants along with their comalis are challenged every week and are judged by Chef Damu and Chef Venkatesh Bhat until season 4.

Cooku with Comali 2 is the second season of the Tamil reality cooking TV show Cooku with Comali, that was aired first on 14 November 2020. This season was hosted by Rakshan. The grand finale was aired on 14 April 2021 and winner was Kani Thiru.

Chef Damodharan and Chef Venkatesh Bhat as the Judges. Actor Suresh appeared as a guest judge in lieu of Chef Venkatesh Bhatt's absence. Manimegalai has re-joined as the co-host. Mime Gopi won the title on 30 July 2023.
