Cooku with Comali 5 is the fifth season of the Tamil reality cooking TV show Cooku with Comali. It premiered on Star Vijay on 17 April 2024, and aired on every Saturday and Sunday at 21:30. [1]
Chef Damodharan continues as judge of the fifth season, alongside new judge Madhampatty Rangaraj. [2] [3]
The Grand Finale Telecasted on 29 September 2024, with Priyanka Deshpande emerging as the winner and Sujitha emerging as the runner up of the show. [4]

The first four seasons were produced by Media Masons and have been broadcast on Star Vijay since 2019. The fifth installment of the show is now under the production of a new company called Box Office Studio. While the format of the show remain the same, a notable change happened in this season is within the judging panel, with Chef Venkatesh Bhat being succeeded by [21] Madhampatty Rangaraj. Pugazh, Sunitha Gogoi, Mohamed Kuraishi, Kpy Sarath return to Comalis the contestants during the fifth season of Sa Cooku with Comali. Ramar, Shabishabnam, Nanjil Vijayan, Anshita Akbarsha and Vyishali Kemkar is the new Comalis to join for the fifth season. However after one week, Nanjil Vijayan left the show in May 2024 as he was announcement in social media, "Hi friends, I am leaving the 'Cooku with Comali' show. I have no problem with the channel, and after this, I will not appear in any show produced by the box office company." [26]
On 15 June 2024, Aranthangi Nisha entered the show as new comali. [27]
The fifth season of Cooku with Comali The two judges promo was unveiled on 18 March 2024, [28] The second promo was unveiled on 27 March 2024, featuring hosts Rakshan and Manimegalai with Sunitha Gogoi, Mohamed Kuraishi and Pugazh. Samayal Samayal with Venkatesh Bhat is a 2014 Indian Tamil-language cooking show featuring chef Venkatesh Bhat cooking 100 of his top recipes, that home cooks and viewers can try. Over eighteen years, Kalakka Povathu Yaaru? has had nine seasons. The winners of the show are awarded the title of Comedy King and cash prizes. The first season premiered in 2005.
Manimegalai is an Indian television presenter and video jockey who is working in Tamil television industry for almost 15 years. Since 2010, she has regularly been a host for shows on Sun Network before joining Star Vijay in 2019. She gained followers for her boldness in expressing her thoughts and for raising her voice against odds.
Rakshan more popularly known as VJ Rakshan is an Indian television presenter currently working with Star Vijay. He has hosted Kalakka Povathu Yaaru? seasons 5, 6 and 7 and Cooku with Comali. He previously worked for Raj TV and Kalaignar TV. His debut film was En Kadhal Devathai was ready to release in 2011, it remained unreleased. In 2020, he acted in a second movie Kannum Kannum Kollaiyadithaal directed by Desingh Periyasamy with Dulquer Salmaan playing the lead role.
Ramya Pandian is an Indian actress who works in Tamil language films. She is known for her role in Joker (2016) and Aan Devathai (2018). She was listed by the Chennai Times as the "Most Desirable Woman on Television 2020". In 2021, she participated in the reality show Bigg Boss 4 and emerged as the 3rd runner-up.
Ashwin Kumar Lakshmikanthan is an Indian actor who works predominantly in Tamil films. He played the lead roles in Star Vijay serials Rettai Vaal Kuruvi (2015) and Ninaikka Therintha Manamae (2017), and had supportive roles in films such as O Kadhal Kanmani (2015) and Adithya Varma (2019). The show is a remake of Tamil reality show Cooku with Comali.
