Bertland "Bert" Cameron is a retired Jamaican sprinter who mainly competed over 400 metres. He represented Jamaica at three consecutive editions of the Summer Olympics. Cameron won the 400 m title at the first World Championships in Athletics. He was also the 1982 Commonwealth Games champion in the event and won a number of gold medals at regional competitions. Türgüt Aykaç is a former boxer from Turkey. At the 1984 Summer Olympics, he won the bronze medal in the men's featherweight division, alongside Omar Catari of Venezuela. In the semifinals he was defeated by eventual silver medalist Peter Konyegwachie of Nigeria.
Anthony N. Villanueva was a boxer from the Philippines. He competed in the featherweight division at the 1964 Olympics and won a silver medal. Shortly after the Olympics he turned professional, but retired after five bouts. Besides boxing, Villanueva worked as an actor and boxing coach in the Philippines and as a security guard in the United States. He died after suffering several strokes.
Anthony John Hurt is a former New Zealand rower who won two Olympic medals. At the 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich, he teamed with Dick Joyce, Wybo Veldman, John Hunter, Lindsay Wilson, Joe Earl, Trevor Coker and Gary Robertson and Simon Dickie (cox) to win the gold medal in the eights. At the 1976 Summer Olympics in Montreal, he again crewed the eight which this time won the bronze medal. His crewmates this time were Alec McLean, Ivan Sutherland, Trevor Coker, Peter Dignan, Lindsay Wilson, Joe Earl and Dave Rodger and Simon Dickie (cox). In both Olympic races, he was the stroke.

Anthony Eugene Campbell is an American former hurdler. He is the 1988 Olympic bronze medallist in the 110m Hurdles, the 1987 World Indoor champion in the 60m hurdles, and won the 1985 World Cup title in the 110m hurdles. A three-time winner of the 110 metres hurdles at the IAAF Grand Prix Final, he also won the 1987 Overall Grand Prix title, with fellow hurdler Greg Foster second and pole vaulter Sergey Bubka third.
Anthony Howard Sneazwell is an Australian former high jumper who competed in the 1964 Summer Olympics and in the 1968 Summer Olympics. He was also the team dentist of the Edmonton Oilers in the NHL from 1988 until he retired in 2011.
Efe Ajagba is a Nigerian professional boxer who holds the record for the fastest victory in boxing history after his opponent was disqualified for leaving the ring one second after the opening bell. The men's featherweight event was part of the boxing programme at the 1988 Summer Olympics. The weight class allowed boxers of up to 57 kilograms to compete. The competition was held from 18 September to 2 October 1988. 48 boxers from 48 nations competed. Giovanni Parisi won the gold medal.
Anthony Mwamba was a Zambian boxer. He competed in the men's light welterweight event at the 1988 Summer Olympics. Mwamba won a bronze medal in the welterweight (67 kg) division at the 1990 Commonwealth Games. He died of COVID-19 during the pandemic in Zambia.
