Brigadier General Anthony Thomas Stack, OMM, CD is a Brigadier General in service of the Canadian Forces. He is the Deputy Commander of the Land Force Atlantic Area.
Stack, was born in St. John's, Newfoundland in 1961. He attended Gonzaga High School, and was a member of 2415 Gonzaga Royal Canadian Army Cadets Corps.
Stack enlisted in the Army reserve in 1978. He served two terms as the commanding officer of the 56 Field Engineer Squadron, as well as one term as G3 Newfoundland District. He was also company commander and chief instructor at the Atlantic Area Rank and Trade School in Gagetown, New Brunswick. A graduate of the Army Command and Staff College in Kingston, Ontario, and the Joint Reserve Command and Staff Program at the Canadian Forces College in Toronto. In 2001 Brigadier-General Stack was the first commanding officer of the Land Force Atlantic Area Civil-Military Co-operation (CIMIC) unit. In January 2004, he deployed with Operation ATHENA to Afghanistan, where he served as the chief of CIMIC Operations for the NATO-led International Security Assistance Force in Kabul. After returning from Afghanistan he was promoted to lieutenant colonel and placed in deputy command of 37 Canadian Brigade group. In 2006 he was promoted to the rank of colonel and assumed command of the brigade. In December 2009 he was promoted to the rank of brigadier general and made deputy commander of the Land Force Atlantic Area.
At the Memorial University of Newfoundland Brigadier-General Stack earned a Bachelor of Education (Secondary) and Bachelor of Science (Mathematics) degrees in 1985 and obtained a Master of Education (Leadership Studies) in 2001. Today Brigadier General Stack was also the principal of St.Peter's Junior High School in Mount Pearl, Newfoundland and Labrador before leaving in 2011. He has a wife named Wanda and one son named Shane. [1]
A brigade is a major tactical military formation that typically comprises three to six battalions plus supporting elements. It is roughly equivalent to an enlarged or reinforced regiment. Two or more brigades may constitute a division.

A military staff or general staff is a group of officers, enlisted and civilian staff who serve the commander of a division or other large military unit in their command and control role through planning, analysis, and information gathering, as well as by relaying, coordinating, and supervising the execution of their plans and orders, especially in case of multiple simultaneous and rapidly changing complex operations. They are organised into functional groups such as administration, logistics, operations, intelligence, training, etc. They provide multi-directional flow of information between a commanding officer, subordinate military units and other stakeholders. A centralised general staff results in tighter top-down control but requires larger staff at headquarters (HQ) and reduces accuracy of orientation of field operations, whereas a decentralised general staff results in enhanced situational focus, personal initiative, speed of localised action, OODA loop, and improved accuracy of orientation.

MGen Aitchison holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of New Brunswick. a master's degree in Defence Studies from the Joint Command and Staff Program at the Canadian Forces College, as well as a master's degree in Military Art and Science from the United States Army School of Advanced Military Studies. Aitchison was promoted to Brigadier General, while serving as Chief of Staff for the Combined Joint Forces Land Component Command - Operation INHERENT RESOLVE (CJFLCC-OIR). He was promoted major-general in June 2020 and took command of the Canadian Defense Academy in August 2020.

Major General Christopher Antony Field, is a retired senior officer of the Australian Army. He joined the army via the Australian Defence Force Academy in 1984 and was commissioned into the Royal Australian Infantry Corps. He has commanded the 1st Battalion, Royal Australian Regiment (2003–05), Combined Joint Task Force 635 (2004–05) and the 3rd Brigade (2015–17), coordinated reconstruction efforts in Queensland in the wake of the 2010–11 Queensland floods and Cyclone Debbie, and deployed on operations to East Timor, Iraq, the Solomon Islands and Afghanistan. He was Commander Forces Command from June 2019 to February 2020, Deputy Commanding General – Operations for United States Army Central from March 2020 to November 2021, and was Assistant to the Chief of the Defence Force from 2022 until his retirement in 2023.

Anthony Reynolds Hale is a lieutenant general in the United States Army currently serving as the deputy chief of staff for intelligence (G-2) of the United States Army. He previously served as the Commanding General of the United States Army Intelligence Center of Excellence and Fort Huachuca from 2020 to 2023. He was promoted to his current rank of lieutenant general on January 3, 2024. Prior to serving as the USAICoE & FH Commanding General, he was the United States Special Operations Command (SOCOM) J-2. He received his officer's commission in 1990 through the ROTC program at North Carolina State University.
