Antoine Andrews (born 12 April 2003) is a Bahamian athlete. He won the gold medal at the 2022 IAAF World Junior Championships in the 110m hurdles.
Andrews attends St. John's College in Nassau, Bahamas. A versatile athlete he competes in 100m, 200m, 400m, 400m hurdles as well as his speciality, the 110m hurdles. [1]
Andrews won gold at the 2021 U20 NACAC Championships in the 110m hurdles. [2] He claimed the bronze medal at the 2022 CARIFTA Games 110m hurdles, in Kingston, Jamaica and also competed in the 400 metres race and qualified for the final in which he finished sixth. [3] Andrews broke the national junior record as he won the Bahamas national championship u20 110m hurdles race in June, 2022 in Nassau. [4]
Andrews broke the national 110m hurdles record again in the heats of the 2022 World Athletics U20 Championships, running a time of 13.36 seconds. [5] [6] He then won the final the following day in an even lower time as he won gold in 13.23 seconds. This equalled the world leading time for an under-20 athlete in 2022. [7] [8] In doing so, he claimed the first Bahamian gold medal in any global championships in a hurdles event. [9]
Debbie Ferguson-McKenzie is a former Bahamian sprinter who specialised in the 100 and 200 metres. Ferguson-McKenzie participated in five Olympics.
Kerron Stewart is a retired Jamaican sprinter who specialized in the 100 metres and 200 metres. She is the 2008 Jamaican national champion in the 100 m clocking 10.80s. She defeated World Champion Veronica Campbell-Brown in the process and now is the 2008 Summer Olympics silver medalist after she tied with Sherone Simpson in a time of 10.98s. She also earned a bronze medal in the 200 metres at the 2008 Summer Olympics with a time of 22.00s. She was born in Kingston and retired after the 2018 season.
The CARIFTA Games is an annual athletics competition founded by the Caribbean Free Trade Association (CARIFTA). The games were first held in 1972 and consist of track and field events including sprint races, hurdles, middle distance track events, jumping and throwing events, and relays. The Games has two age categories: under-17 and under-20. Only countries associated with CARIFTA may compete in the competition.

The 3rd Central American and Caribbean Junior Championships was held in Xalapa, Mexico, on 25–28 August 1978. This was already the second time that the city was hosting this event after the 2nd junior CAC games in 1976. Wendall Miller is a Bahamian sprinter who competes in the 200 and 400. He attended St.Johns College in Nassau, Bahamas where he won multiple Bahamas Association of Independent Secondary Schools Track and Field "B.A.I.S.S" gold medals. After a break out 2021 season he signed a professional contract with Puma, and will be training with MVP International, under former Auburn University coach Henry Rolle based in Boca Raton, Florida. He holds the Bahamian 400m Jr National Record with a time of 45.81. He also has a personal best of 20.61 (+1.1w) over 200m.
Carlyle Thompson is a Bahamian sprinter from Nassau, Bahamas who competed in the 400m Hurdles and 400m. He attended St. Annes High School in Nassau, Bahamas, before going on to compete for Allen County Community College and Nova Southeastern University. He won two silver medals at the 2006 CARIFTA Games first in the open 400m Hurdles then on the third leg of the 4 × 400 m Relay.
