Aquathlon competitions at the 2019 World Beach Games in Doha, Qatar were held from 14 to 15 October 2019.
The World Beach Games aquathlon contained three components in each individual event; a 5 km (3.1 mi) run, 2 km (1.2 mi) swim, and a 2 km (1.2 mi) run, and three components each athlete in mixed team event; a 1.25 km (0.78 mi) run, 0.5 km (0.31 mi) swim, and a 1.25 km (0.78 mi) run. [1]
The qualification period ends on 3 October 2019. A total of 60 athletes (30 for each gender) vied for the coveted spots with a maximum of two sent to compete for the first twenty-four ITU Aquathlon Rankings ranked athletes, while the other NOCs might have one athlete per event.
24 quotas per gender will be decided based on ITU Aquathlon Ranking List in June 2019. Host nation Qatar will be ensured two quota places each gender. The remaining 4 quotas will be eligible for Invitation Places. [2]

A triathlon is an endurance multisport race consisting of swimming, cycling, and running over various distances. Triathletes compete for fastest overall completion time, racing each segment sequentially with the time transitioning between the disciplines included. The word is of Greek origin, from τρεῖς or treis (three) and ἆθλος or athlos (competition).
World Triathlon, previously known as the International Triathlon Union (ITU), is the international governing body for the multi-sport disciplines of triathlon, duathlon, aquathlon and other nonstandard variations. World Triathlon hosts the top level international race series the World Triathlon Championship Series and the ITU Triathlon World Cup. World Triathlon also has a long-distance race circuit with official world championships. This article details the qualifying phase for triathlon at the 2020 Summer Olympics. The competition at these Games will comprise a total of 110 athletes coming from their respective NOCs; each has been allowed to enter a maximum of three. All athletes must undergo a qualifying process to earn a spot for the Games through the Continental Qualification Events, the World Qualification Event, and then the Olympic Qualification List that began on May 11, 2018, and then concludes two years later on the same date.

The triathlon competitions at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris are scheduled to run from 30 July to 5 August at Pont d'Iéna, featuring a total of 110 athletes who will compete in each of the men's and women's events. After a hugely successful Tokyo 2020, the mixed relay competition remains in the triathlon program for the second time at the Olympics.
