Håkon Brusveen was a Norwegian cross-country skier. In 1958 he was awarded the Holmenkollen medal, and in 1960 the Morgenbladet Gold Medal. A freelance sports broadcaster for NRK for 35 years, he was a pioneering color commentator of cross-country skiing events.
Richard Earle "Earl" Johnson was an American athlete who competed mainly in the cross country team. He was the 1921 National Champion. He effectively defended his championship in 1922 as he was beaten by Ville Ritola's Van Cortlandt Park course record, but since Ritola was Finnish, Johnson was the first American finisher in the National Championships. A rare black athlete of his day, he worked for the Edgar Thomson Steel Works in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Jennifer Rhines is an American long-distance runner who competes in track, cross country and road running events. She has competed in three different Summer Olympics and made 15 US Teams.
Andorra sent a delegation to compete in the 2010 Winter Olympics held in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, from 12 to 28 February 2010. Andorra has never won an Olympic medal, despite appearing at every Winter and Summer Games since 1976. The Andorran delegation to these Olympics consisted of six athletes, four in alpine skiing, one in cross-country skiing, and one in snowboarding, the last being Lluís Marin Tarroch, the first snowboarder to represent Andorra at the Olympics. He placed 34th in his only event, and failed to advance to the quarterfinals as a result. Francesc Soulié, the first Andorran cross-country skier to compete at the Games, made his second Olympics appearance, achieving a 47th place finish in the best of his three events. The four alpine skiers that competed recorded six DNFs in their thirteen combined events, though Mireia Gutiérrez recorded a team-high 24th-place result in her best event.
Aghasi Manukyan was an Armenian Greco-Roman wrestler. He was a World Cup winner and World Champion. Manukyan earned the Honoured Master of Sports of the USSR Master of Sports of International Class title in 1987.
Aram Boghossian is a former international freestyle swimmer from Brazil. He was born in Rio de Janeiro. As of 2004 he was still swimming in the Masters' category.
Cheruvari Kottieth "C. K." Lakshmanan was an Indian sportsman and activist. He represented British India in the 1924 Summer Olympics held in Paris. He participated in the hurdles event but did not win a medal.
Aram Avagyan is an Armenian professional boxer who held the WBC International Silver featherweight title from 2018 to 2019. As an amateur, he won bronze medals at the European championships in 2013 and 2015 as a bantamweight. He was eliminated in the second bout at the 2016 Olympics. Avagyan studied criminology at the Russian Armenian University in Yerevan.
Robyn Marie Wong is a New Zealand cyclist. She competed at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, in the women's cross-country.
Bernadette Van Roy is a Belgian middle-distance runner. She competed in the women's 1500 metres at the 1976 Summer Olympics. Van Roy also competed at the Praha European Championships in Praha and 6th IAAF World Cross Country Championships in Glasgow.
Gilbert Ronald Larrieu, known as Ron Larrieu, was an American long-distance runner. He competed in the men's 10,000 metres at the 1964 Summer Olympics. He was the older brother of American five-time Olympian Francie Larrieu.
Victor Andrew Zwolak is an American middle-distance runner. He competed in the men's 3000 metres steeplechase at the 1964 Summer Olympics. He was inducted into the Delaware Sports Museum and Hall of Fame in 1976.
