The men's team recurve archery competition at the 2018 Asian Games was held from 21 to 27 August at Gelora Bung Karno Archery Field. [1] A total of 19 teams participated in the ranking round to determine the seeds for knockout round. [2] Each team consisted of the highest ranked three athletes from the qualification round.

Bhutan sent a delegation to compete in the 2008 Summer Olympics, held in Beijing, People's Republic of China from 8–24 August 2008. This was Bhutan's seventh time participating in a Summer Olympic Games. The delegation consisted of two archers, Tashi Peljor and Dorji Dema. Neither was able to win their first round match.

David Pasqualucci is an Italian competitive archer. He won a silver medal in the men's team recurve at the 2015 World Championships, and also competed as a member of Italy's archery squad at the 2016 Summer Olympics. He currently trains under the tutelage of his coaches Fabio Pivari and Wietse van Alten, a Sydney 2000 Olympian from the Netherlands, for the Italian team, while shooting at the Tempio di Diana Archery Range in Rome.
Alec Potts is an Australian competitive archer. He won a bronze medal in the men's team recurve at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.
