The Egypt national football team, nicknamed "Pharaohs", represents Egypt in men's international football, and is governed by the Egyptian Football Association (EFA), the governing body of football in Egypt.
The Congo national football team represents the Republic of the Congo in men's association football and is governed by the Congolese Football Federation. They have never qualified for the World Cup, but did win the Africa Cup of Nations in 1972. They also won the All-Africa Games football tournament in 1965. The team is also a member of both FIFA and the Confederation of African Football (CAF).
The Uganda national football team represents Uganda in association football and is controlled by the Federation of Uganda Football Associations.
The Central African Republic national football team, nicknamed Les Fauves, is the national team of the Central African Republic and is controlled by the Central African Football Federation. They are a member of CAF. Despite being traditionally one of the weakest teams in Africa and the world, they recently achieved success. They won the 2009 CEMAC Cup by beating Gabon in the semi-finals and Equatorial Guinea in the final 3–0. Their FIFA ranking rose from 202nd in August 2010 to 89th by July 2011. On 10 October 2010, they earned a shock 2012 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier win at home against Algeria 2–0, which put them top of their qualification group. The team won its first FIFA World Cup qualifier on 2 June 2012 after beating Botswana 2–0 at home.
The Comoros national football team represents the Comoros in international football and is controlled by the Comoros Football Federation. It was formed in 1979, joined the Confederation of African Football (CAF) in 2003, and became a FIFA member in 2005. Comoros qualified for their first major tournament in 2021, after their 0–0 draw with Togo assured them of a place in the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations.

The 13th African Games hosted in Ghana is being held from 8–23 March 2024. Despite having Accra as the main host city, the games are being held in two sub-host cities: Kumasi and Cape Coast. The games were initially planned to be held in August 2023, however a failure to complete facilities on time and arguments over marketing revenue resulted in the games being delayed to March 2024.

The Ghana Armwrestling Federation (GAF) is the national federation in charge of regulating armwrestling in Ghana. The Ghana Armwrestling Federation was inaugurated in September 2016. The federation was founded by broadcast journalist Charles Osei Asibey and inaugurated in September 2016 by the National Sports Authority as the 40th sporting federation in Ghana. The Ghana Armwrestling Federation is affiliated to the World Armwrestling Federation and has been a member of the international body since 2016. Charles Osei Asibey is the President of the Ghana Armwrestling Federation. Husseini Akueteh is the head referee of the Ghana Armwrestling Federation.
Charles Osei Asibey "The Barrister" is the President of the Africa Armwrestling Federation and the Vice President of the World Armwrestling Federation. He was voted into office as the President of the Federation in July 2022. He is a retired broadcast journalist who is also the founder and current President of the Ghana Armwrestling Federation. He also doubles as the General Secretary of the Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG). He is also the former Communications Director for the Ghana Olympic Committee.
The 2021 World Armwrestling Championship was the 42nd edition of the World Armwrestling Championship held in Bucharest, Romania from 24 November to 3 December. The event was supposed to be held from 18 to 27 September 2020 in Batumi, Georgia. It was later postponed and then moved to another location. Georgian Armwrestling Federation was disqualified by the WAF Executive Board because of failing to organize the 2021 World Armwrestling Championship.
