Cricket at the 2023 African Games was held in Accra, Ghana, between 7 and 23 March 2024. [1] Both men's and women's tournaments were held in Twenty20 International format. This was the first time that cricket is played at the African Games. [2] [3]

Women's cricket is the team sport of cricket when played by women. Its rules are almost identical to those in the game played by men, the main change being the use of a smaller ball. Women's cricket is beginning to be played at professional level in 11 of the 12 full members of the International Cricket Council (ICC), and is played worldwide, especially in Commonwealth nations.
A Twenty20 International (T20I) is a form of Twenty20 cricket, in which each team plays a single innings with a maximum of twenty overs. The matches are played between international teams recognized by the International Cricket Council (ICC). In the T20I format, each bowler is restricted to a maximum of four overs. A mandatory powerplay is taken during the first six overs of an innings.
The Namibia men's national cricket team is the men's cricket team representing the Republic of Namibia in international cricket. It is organised by Cricket Namibia, which became an associate member of the International Cricket Council (ICC) in 1992.

The 13th African Games, also known as Accra 2023, were hosted by Ghana from 8–23 March 2024. Despite having Accra as the main host city, the games were held in two sub-host cities: Kumasi and Cape Coast. The games were initially planned to be held in August 2023, however a failure to complete facilities on time and arguments over marketing revenue resulted in the games being delayed to March 2024.

He made his international debut for India on 3 August 2023 in a T20I match against the West Indies. He plays for Hyderabad in domestic cricket and Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League (IPL). The men's cricket tournament at the 2023 African Games in Ghana took place from 17 to 23 March 2024. The matches were played in the Twenty20 International (T20I) format. Eight teams participated in the event, with all the matches held at the Achimota Oval grounds in Accra. Matches involving the South African team, which was composed of university players, were downgraded from T20I status on 19 March 2024, after the team had already played its first two matches. Zimbabwe were represented by an emerging side and their matches were also downgraded from T20I status.
The women's cricket tournament at the 2023 African Games in Ghana took place from 7 to 13 March 2024. The matches were played with Twenty20 International (T20I) status. Eight teams participated in the event, with all the matches were held at the Achimota Oval fields in Accra. South Africa was represented by an emerging side, and their matches were played without T20I status.
