Mark Charles Jefford Nicholas is an English cricket commentator and former cricketer and broadcaster. He played for Hampshire from 1978 to 1995, captaining them from 1985 to his retirement. On 1 October 2023, he succeeded Stephen Fry as president of Marylebone Cricket Club on a one-year term.

Katherine Helen Sciver-Brunt is an English former cricketer who played as a right-arm fast bowler and right-handed lower-order batter. She played for England between 2004 and 2023, appearing in 14 Test matches, 141 One Day Internationals and 112 Twenty20 Internationals. She won two World Cups and one T20 World Cup, and was named England women's Cricketer of the Year four times. Abtaha Maqsood is a Scottish cricketer who currently plays for Middlesex, Sunrisers, Birmingham Phoenix and Scotland as a right-arm leg break bowler. The daughter of immigrants from Pakistan, she was educated at Eastwood High School, Newton Mearns, and plays club cricket for Poloc, having joined them at the age of 11. After only four months at Poloc, she was called up to the Scotland under-17 squad and debuted for them aged 12.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">2023 African Games</span> Multi-sport event in Accra, Ghana

The 13th African Games hosted in Ghana is being held from 8–23 March 2024. Despite having Accra as the main host city, the games are being held in two sub-host cities: Kumasi and Cape Coast. The games were initially planned to be held in August 2023, however a failure to complete facilities on time and arguments over marketing revenue resulted in the games being delayed to March 2024.

Alice Rose Capsey is an English cricketer who currently plays for Surrey, South East Stars, Oval Invincibles, Delhi Capitals and Melbourne Stars. An all-rounder, she is a right-handed batter and right-arm off break bowler. In 2021, Capsey was voted the inaugural PCA Women's Young Player of the Year. Capsey made her international debut for the England women's cricket team in July 2022.
