Armenia has participated in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest since 2007. Armenian Public Television (ARMTV), a member organisation of the European Broadcasting Union (EBU), have been responsible for the selection process of their participants since their debut.
Georgia participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2008 with the song "Peace Will Come" written by Kim Breitburg and Karen Kavaleryan. The song was performed by Diana Gurtskaya. The Georgian broadcaster Georgian Public Broadcaster (GPB) held a national final in order to select the Georgian entry for the 2008 contest in Belgrade, Serbia. An open call for submissions was held which resulted in the shortlisting of twelve entries that were presented to the public during a televised production on 1 March 2008. The results of a public televote exclusively resulted in the selection of "Peace Will Come" performed by Diana Gurtskaya as the Georgian entry, having received 39.4% of the votes.
Armenia participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2009 with the song "Jan Jan" written by Avet Barseghyan, Vardan Zadoyan and Mane Hakobyan. The song was performed by the duo Inga and Anush. The Armenian entry for the 2009 contest in Moscow, Russia was selected through the national final Evrotesil 2009, organised by the Armenian broadcaster Public Television of Armenia (AMPTV). The national final took place on 14 February 2009 where twenty-one entries competed. "Jan Jan" performed by Inga and Anush was selected as the winner following the combination of votes from a professional jury and a public televote.
Armenia selected their Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2009 entry by a national final. The winner was Luara Hayrapetyan with "Barcelona", which represented Armenia in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2009 on 21 November 2009.
Russia participated in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2009 in Kyiv, Ukraine. The Russian entry was selected through a national final, organised by Russian broadcaster All-Russia State Television and Radio Company (VGTRK). The final was held on 31 May 2009. Ekaterina Ryabova and her song "Malenkiy prints" won the national final, getting 12.07% of votes.
Belarus participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2010 with the song "Butterflies" written by Maxim Fadeev, Robert Wells and Malka Chaplin. The song was performed by the band 3+2 featuring Robert Wells, who were internally selected by the Belarusian broadcaster National State Television and Radio Company of the Republic of Belarus (BTRC) to represent the nation at the 2010 contest in Oslo, Norway after broadcaster All-National TV (ONT), which was to take over BTRC, failed to receive EBU membership. 3+2 and the song "Far Away" were initially announced as the Belarusian entry on 25 February 2010, however the band opted to withdraw their song and the replacement entry, "Butterflies", was announced on 19 March 2010.

The song was performed by Emmy, who was selected internally by the Armenian broadcaster Public Television of Armenia (AMPTV) to represent Armenia in the 2011 contest in Düsseldorf, Germany. Emmy's selection as the Armenian artist was announced on 11 December 2010, while the song was selected through a national final, which took place on 5 March 2011 where four songs competed. "Boom Boom" was selected as the winning song following the combination of votes from a professional jury and a public televote.
Armenia selected their Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2010 entry by a national final. The winner was Vladimir Arzumanyan with "Mama", which represented Armenia in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2010 on 20 November 2010.
Armenia selected its entry for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2011 through a televised national final, held on 17 September 2011, organised by the Armenian national broadcaster Public Television of Armenia (ARMTV). The entry selected was Dalita with the song "Welcome To Armenia".
Russia participated in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2012 in Amsterdam, Netherlands. The Russian entry was selected through a national final, organised by Russian broadcaster All-Russia State Television and Radio Company (VGTRK). The final was held on 3 June 2012. Lerika and her song "Sensatsiya" won the national final, getting 12.34% of votes.
Armenia participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2013 with the song "Lonely Planet" written by Tony Iommi and Vardan Zadoyan. The song was performed by the band Dorians, which was selected internally by the Armenian broadcaster Public Television of Armenia (AMPTV) to represent Armenia in the 2013 contest in Malmö, Sweden. In May 2012, Armenia announced that they would be returning to the Eurovision Song Contest after a one-year absence following their withdrawal in 2012 due to tensions with then host country Azerbaijan. Gor Sujyan was announced as the Armenian artist on 22 January 2013, while the song was selected through a national final, which took place on 2 March 2013 where four songs competed. "Lonely Planet" was selected as the winning song following the combination of votes from a professional jury and a public televote. Sujyan later announced that he would perform at the Eurovision Song Contest as a member of Dorians.
Armenia participated in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2014 which took place on 15 November 2014, in Marsa, Malta. The Armenian broadcaster Armenia 1 (ARMTV) was responsible for organising their entry for the contest. The Armenian entry was selected through a national final held on 14 September 2014. Betty and her song "People of the Sun" was chosen to represent the nation in Marsa, Malta.
Armenia participated in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2015 in Sofia, Bulgaria. On 11 June 2015 it was confirmed that they would use internal selection. Michael Varosyan (Mika) was selected as the Armenian representative on 14 July with his song "Love", being selected on 6 October.
Armenia participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2018 with the song "Qami" written by Sevak Khanagyan, Anna Danielyan and Viktorya Maloyan. The song was performed by Sevak Khanagyan. The Armenian entry for the 2018 contest in Lisbon, Portugal was selected through the national final Depi Evratesil 2018, organised by the Armenian broadcaster Public Television of Armenia (AMPTV). The national final and consisted of three shows: two semi-finals and a final. Ten entries competed in each semi-final with the top five from each semi-final qualifying to compete in the final on 25 February 2018. "Qami" performed by Sevak Khanagyan was selected as the winner following the combination of votes from an international jury and a public televote.
Switzerland participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2018. The Swiss German speaking broadcaster Schweizer Radio und Fernsehen (SRF) in collaboration with the other broadcasters part of the Swiss Broadcasting Corporation organised a national final in order to select the Swiss entry for the 2018 contest in Lisbon, Portugal.
Armenia participated in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2019, held in Gliwice, Poland on 24 November 2019. The Armenian broadcaster Armenian Public Television (ARMTV) was responsible for organising their entry for the contest. Karina Ignatyan was chosen with her song "Colours of Your Dream".
Armenia originally planned to participate in the Eurovision Song Contest 2020 with the song "Chains on You" written by Athena Manoukian and DJ Paco. The song was performed by Athena Manoukian. The Armenian entry for the 2020 contest in Rotterdam, Netherlands was selected through the national final Depi Evratesil 2020, organised by the Armenian broadcaster Public Television of Armenia (AMPTV). The national final took place on 15 February 2020 where twelve entries competed. "Chains on You" performed by Athena Manoukian was selected as the winner following the combination of votes from an international jury, an Armenian jury and a public televote.
France participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2021 with the song "Voilà" written by Barbara Pravi, Lili Poe and Igit. The song was performed by Barbara Pravi. The French broadcaster France Télévisions in collaboration with the television channel France 2 organised the national final Eurovision France, c'est vous qui décidez ! in order to select the French entry for the 2021 contest in Rotterdam, Netherlands. Twelve songs competed in the national final where the winner was selected over two rounds of voting. In the first round, eight entries were selected to advance to the second round: seven entries selected a public vote and one entry selected by a ten-member jury panel. In the second round, "Voilà" performed by Barbara Pravi was selected as the winner following the combination of votes from a ten-member jury panel and a public vote.
Russia participated in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2021 which took place on 19 December 2021, in Paris, France. The Russian broadcaster All-Russia State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company (VGTRK) was responsible for organising their entry for the contest.
