Armor Games, Inc is an American video game publisher and free web gaming portal. The website hosts over a thousand HTML5 (and previously Flash) browser games. Based in Irvine, California, the site was founded in 2004 by Daniel McNeely. [4]

Contents

Armor Games primarily hosts curated HTML5/JavaScript games and MMOs, sometimes sponsoring their creation. Each game is uploaded and maintained by its original developer, and some include unlockable player achievements. Users can chat within the site and create online profiles. In December 2020, nearing end-of-life of Adobe Flash, the site announced that it will be using the Ruffle emulator for its Flash content, although many Flash games remain inaccessible.

On March 3, 2019, Armor Games revealed that they had a data breach in 2019 and that the database was sold on the Dream Market. [6]

In August, 2024, Armor Games laid off an unknown number of staff from its publishing team, Armor Games Studio. [7]

PC Magazine listed it in 2007 as one of the Top 100 undiscovered websites. [10] The American news station KSTU listed it as one of the 10 websites that they considered the best for finding "free online games". [11]

Aether is a video game designed by Edmund McMillen and Tyler Glaiel and published by Armor Games, released on September 3, 2008. Players control a lonely boy and an octopus-like monster that the boy encounters, solving puzzles on different planets to restore them from monochrome to color. The pair travel through space by swinging on clouds and asteroids with the monster's elongated tongue, searching other planets for life to which the boy can relate. Warface: Clutch is a free-to-play online first-person shooter video game developed by Crytek Kiev, co-produced by Crytek Seoul, and published by My.com. Warface: Clutch centers around online firefights in player versus player (PvP) matches, with microtransactions allowing players to purchase weapons, equipment, and cosmetic gear. Charlie Murder is a beat 'em up video game developed by Ska Studios and published by Microsoft Game Studios for the Xbox 360 and Ska Studios for Microsoft Windows. First revealed in January 2010 for Xbox Live Indie Games, the studio announced in May 2010 that the game would undergo a "complete overhaul" and be published in 2012 through Xbox Live Arcade for the Xbox 360. Charlie Murder was eventually released on 14 August 2013 to positive reviews, with critics praising the game's soundtrack and hand-illustrated visuals. <i>Tangle Tower</i> 2019 video game

Tangle Tower is a murder mystery point-and-click adventure game developed and published by SFB Games. It is a sequel to the 2014 game Detective Grimoire and the third entry in the Detective Grimoire series. The game was launched with the Apple Arcade service on 19 September 2019 and was later released for Nintendo Switch and Steam on 22 October 2019, followed by PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on 6 October 2021.

Detective Grimoire is a series of detective mystery video games developed by SFB Games. The series currently consists of three titles, with a fourth in development. Additionally, the soundtracks to Detective Grimoire: Secret of the Swamp and Tangle Tower have been released.
