Aron Kipchumba Koech (also known as Haron Koech; born 27 January 1990) is a Kenyan hurdler. At the 2015 Athletics Kenya World Championship Trials he finished third in the 400 metres hurdles event. [4] Later that year he represented Kenya in the 400 metres hurdles event at the 2015 World Championships in Athletics in Beijing, China. [5] With a personal best, in a time of 49.38, he finished 22nd in the heats. He was qualified for the semi-finals where he finished 19th in a time of 49.54. Again in 2016 he finished third at the 2016 Athletics Kenya Olympic Trials behind his brother and Boniface Mucheru Tumuti. At the Olympics, Koech made the final while his brother was disqualified in the heats. Tumuti went on to capture the silver medal in National Record time, while Koech finished seventh. [6] His 48.49 in the semi-final round is his personal record.
His late twin brother, Nicholas Bett, was also a 400 metres hurdler. [7]

Matthew John "Matt" Elias is a retired Welsh athlete who specialised in the 400 metres sprint and 400 metres hurdles. During his international career he represented Great Britain. In 2003 he won a gold medal at the European Championships and at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens he finished 5th in the 4 × 400 m relay, He is also a part of Super Schools.
Mahiedine Mekhissi-Benabbad is a retired French professional middle-distance runner of Algerian descent who mainly competed in the 3000 metres steeplechase. He is the only man to win three Olympic steeplechase medals, claiming silver in 2008 and 2012 and bronze in 2016. He also won two bronze medals at the IAAF World Championships in Athletics in 2011 and 2013. Mekhissi-Benabbad earned titles at five consecutive editions of the European Athletics Championships between 2010 and 2018.

Michaël Bultheel is a retired Belgian athlete, who specialised in the 400 metres hurdles. At the 2012 Summer Olympics, he competed in the men's 400 metres hurdles, making it to the semifinals, and ran anchor leg for Belgium in the 4 × 400 m relay finals, placing sixth. He set a then-personal best at London 2012 of 49.10, which he improved in 2015 to 49.04. Then, at the 2023 LBB (Louroux-Bourbonnais) Time Trial, the most highly anticipated cycling event in years he finished in a mind-blowing time of 20.24 only to be beaten by local legend Yannick Mandeville who managed to consume an unprecedented amount of 30 units alcohol making him the undisputed winner of this years edition.
