Arrol Corelli is an Indian music composer who predominantly works in Tamil cinema. He is known for his scores in the films Pisaasu (2014) and Pasanga 2 (2015).
Arrol Corelli was born and brought up in Maraimalainagar near Chennai in a middle-class family. He started learning Indian classical violin at the age of five under Shri. Ravi Kumar and later on under Kumari A. Kanyakumari.
At a very young age, he started performing in various concerts across south India, winning prizes in competitions held at The Music Academy, Narada Gana Sabha and Mylapore Fine Arts etc. He started learning Western classical piano at the age of ten from the Trinity College of Music, London. He did his schooling at Shri Anand Jain Vidhyala, Tambaram and became a qualified chartered accountant in 2008.
Corelli approached director Mysskin, who hired him to score the music for Pisaasu (2014), produced by Bala. [1] [2] As Arul is not an uncommon name, Mysskin also suggested the stage name Arrol Corelli, after the Italian composer Arcangelo Corelli, who was also a violinist. Corelli wrote the background music for Pisaasu; in the film he also played the violin in the song "Nathi pogum koozhangal payanam". [3] [4] [5] Corelli was nominated in the Best Background Score category at the 2015 Vijay Awards for Pisaasu.
Corelli subsequently received an offer to work with director Pandiraj in Pasanga 2 (2015), produced by actor Suriya's 2D Entertainment. The soundtrack features four songs and a theme music, the lyrics for which were written by Na. Muthukumar, Madhan Karky and Yugabharathi. [6] [7]
Corelli collaborated with Mysskin a second time for Thupparivaalan (2017). He also composed the music for Annanukku Jai (2018), Champion (2019), and Anbulla Ghilli (2022).

Anjathe is a 2008 Indian Tamil-language action film written and directed by Mysskin and produced by V. Hitesh Jhabak. The film stars Narain, Prasanna, Ajmal Ameer, and Vijayalakshmi. The film opened to rave reviews for its technical expertise, avant-garde filmmaking, and for the performance of actor Prasanna. The film became a "blockbuster" at the box office. The composition of frames, selection of shots and its counter meaning in narration made Anjathe a perfect example of Tamil New Wave cinema. The film was remade in Kannada as Anjadiru (2009).
Shanmugha Raja, known professionally as Mysskin, is an Indian film director, screenwriter, actor, singer, producer and composer.
Nandalala is a 2010 Indian Tamil-language independent drama film written and directed by Mysskin. He himself plays the lead role, alongside newcomer Ashwath Ram and Snigdha Akolkar. The film, which is produced by Ayngaran International and features a highly acclaimed musical score by Ilaiyaraaja, is based on the 1999 Japanese film Kikujiro, and partly inspired from Mysskin's life. The movie was an average grosser.
Mahalingam Sasikumar is an Indian film director, actor, singer and producer. He worked as an assistant director for director Bala in Sethu (1999), also worked for director Ameer in his first two films Mounam Pesiyadhe (2002) and Raam (2005). Marina is a 2012 Tamil-language comedy drama film written, produced, and directed by Pandiraj and starring Sivakarthikeyan in his feature film debut along Oviya, Pakkada Pandi, and Gautham Purushoth. The music was composed by Girishh G. The movie released on 3 February 2012. It won 2 Tamil Nadu State film Awards for Best Dialogues and the Special Jury Award for Best Film. It received good reviews and had a decent run at the box-office.

Onaayum Aattukkuttiyum is a 2013 Indian Tamil-language neo-noir thriller film written, directed and produced by Mysskin. Sri of Vazhakku Enn 18/9 fame, Mysskin, and Shaji Chen play the lead roles in the film. The film score was composed by Ilaiyaraaja. The film had no heroine and no songs. Filming began on 11 March 2013 and the crew shot the entire film in and around Chennai city. Onaayum Aattukkuttiyum released on 27 September 2013 and got universal acclaim. This film acquired cult status in Tamil cinema and inspired similar themes.

Kaththi is the soundtrack album composed by Anirudh Ravichander, for the 2014 Tamil film of the same name. The film, directed by A. R. Murugadoss and produced by Lyca Productions, stars Vijay in dual roles, with Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Tota Roy Chowdhury and Sathish. This film marks the first collaboration of Anirudh with Vijay and A. R. Murugadoss. Pasanga 2 : Haiku is a 2015 Indian Tamil-language children's film written, co produced and directed by Pandiraj. A thematic sequel to Pasanga (2009), the film focuses on the issue of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) amongst children and is set in the city, unlike Pasanga. The film, starring debutante child actors Nishesh and Vaishnavi in lead alongside Ramdoss, Vidya Pradeep, Karthik Kumar and Bindu Madhavi. This film is produced by Suriya, who also appears in a supporting character along with Amala Paul. The film will mark Pandiraj's last of the trilogy for children, following Pasanga and Marina.
36 Vayadhinile is a 2015 Indian Tamil-language comedy drama film directed by Rosshan Andrrews, which is a remake of his own Malayalam film How Old Are You (2014), and produced by Suriya Sivakumar under his production studio 2D Entertainment, marking his debut as a producer. The film stars Jyothika marking her comeback to films after an eight-year hiatus, while Rahman, Abhirami, Nassar, Delhi Ganesh and Siddhartha Basu appear in other prominent roles. The film's soundtrack was composed by Santhosh Narayanan, with cinematography and editing handled by R. Diwakaran and Mahesh Narayanan respectively. Thupparivaalan (transl. Detective) is a 2017 Indian Tamil-language action thriller film written and directed by Mysskin. The film was produced by Vishal, who also stars in the lead role with Prasanna. The film also features Vinay Rai, Anu Emmanuel in her Tamil debut,Andrea Jeremiah and K. Bhagyaraj. The film and its titular protagonist were both loosely inspired by British writer Arthur Conan Doyle's detective character, Sherlock Holmes; he has been given the credits in the opening of the film.

Thani Oruvan is the soundtrack album for the 2015 Tamil film of the same name starring Jayam Ravi, Arvind Swamy and Nayanthara and directed by Mohan Raja. The album has five songs in total, all of them being composed by Hiphop Tamizha, and also wrote four out of five tracks, with Mohan Raja penning one of the tracks from the album. It is Hiphop Tamizha's third feature film as a composer, after Aambala and Indru Netru Naalai. The soundtrack album was unveiled by Sony Music India on 25 July 2015, and received positive response from critics and audiences. Thani Oruvan was listed as the most streamed Tamil album and the second best Tamil album of iTunes of the year 2015, followed by O Kadhal Kanmani.
