Modern sources define skyscrapers as being at least 100 meters (330 ft) or 150 meters (490 ft) in height, though there is no universally accepted definition, other than being very tall high-rise buildings. Historically, the term first referred to buildings at least 10 stories high when these types of buildings began to be constructed in the 1880s. Skyscrapers may host offices, hotels, residential spaces, and retail spaces.
Dallas Arts Tower (formerly Chase Tower) is a 225 m (738 ft), 55-story postmodern skyscraper at 2200 Ross Avenue in the City Center District of downtown Dallas, Texas. Although it is the fourth tallest skyscraper in the city, if one were to exclude antennas and spires, it would be the third. It is also the 13th tallest building in Texas. The building was designed by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill and was completed in 1987. The building also formerly housed the Dallas Petroleum Club, a business and social club located on the 39th and 40th floors.
Chase Tower, located in the Chicago Loop area of Chicago, in the U.S. state of Illinois at 10 South Dearborn Street, is a 60-story skyscraper completed in 1969. The building and its plaza occupy the entire block bounded by Clark, Dearborn, Madison, and Monroe streets.

China World Trade Center Tower III is a supertall skyscraper with 74 floors, 5 underground floors, and 30 elevators in Beijing, China. It is the third phase of development of the China World Trade Center complex in Beijing's central business district of Chaoyang at the junction of the East Third Ring Road and Jianguomen Outer Street. The building topped out at 330 m (1,083 ft) on 29 October 2007 and completed in 2010. It is the second tallest building in Beijing.
The Public Investment Fund (PIF) Tower is a 385 m (1,263 ft) skyscraper in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Construction started in 2010 and was topped-out in 2014. The building was finally completed in 2021, making it the tallest building in Riyadh, surpassing Burj Rafal, and the second-tallest in Saudi Arabia. Designed by HOK and Omrania, the 76-story PIF Tower is one of the most high-tech skyscrapers in the world and the centerpiece of the King Abdullah Financial District.
