Asim Ahmed is a Maldivian politician, and the United Nations Resident Representative from the Maldives, He was approved for the tenure by the Maldives Parliament, People's Majilis on July 24,2020.

He was the acting foreign minister and ambassador at large of Maldives after President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih assumed office. He was also the Education Minister of Maldives. [1] [2] [3] [4] [5]

Maumoon Abdul Gayoom

Maumoon Abdul Gayoom is a Maldivian politician and an Islamic scholar who ruled the country as the President of Maldives from 1978 to 2008. After serving as Minister of Transport, he was nominated as President by the Majlis (Parliament) of the Maldives and succeeded Ibrahim Nasir in 1978. He was defeated in the October 2008 presidential election. In opposition, he continued to serve as leader of the Dhivehi Rayyithunge Party until January 2010, when he retired from active politics.

Mohamed Nasheed Maldivian politician

Mohamed Nasheed, GCSK is a Maldivian politician, current Speaker of the People's Majlis since May 2019 and formerly the fourth President of the Maldives from 2008 to 2012. He was the first democratically elected president of the Maldives and one of the founders of the Maldivian Democratic Party. In the 2008 presidential election, he was elected as the candidate of the first opposition coalition defeating President Maumoon Abdul Gayoom, who had ruled the Maldives as president for 30 continuous years. Nasheed assumed office on 11 November 2008.

Mohammed Waheed Hassan

Mohamed Waheed Hassan Manik was the 5th President of the Maldives from 7 February 2012 to 17 November 2013, having succeeded to office following the disputed resignation of President Mohamed Nasheed, under whom Waheed had served as the Maldives' first Vice President in over half a century since 2008. He had previously worked as a news anchor, a United Nations official with UNICEF, UNDP and UNESCO, and a member of the Maldivian Parliament. Waheed was the first citizen of the Maldives to receive a PhD, having received it at Stanford University in the U.S., and reportedly the first person to appear on Maldivian Television.

Ahmed Shaheed ޝަހީދު is a Maldivian diplomat and politician. On 24 March 2016, he was appointed for the sixth year running as the United Nations Special Rapporteur on the human rights situation in the Islamic Republic of Iran. Dr Shaheed is also the Chairperson of the Geneva-based international human rights think-tank, Universal Rights Group, which was launched in January 2014.

The Maldives first established a mission in Sri Lanka in July 1965, and today has a High Commission in Colombo. Sri Lanka has an embassy in Malé. He was an official in the Ministry of Atolls Development from 1990 to 2004, then a member of the Special Majilis (parliament) representing A.DH Atoll from 2004 to 2008. Judge Abdulla Mohamed is the Chief Judge of the Criminal Court of the Maldives. In January 2012 he was arrested after releasing a government critic. After popular and judicial protests, he was freed and President Mohamed Nasheed resigned.

Abdulla Yameen

Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom is a Maldivian politician who was the 6th President of the Maldives from 2013 to 2018. He left office on 17 November 2018 following his defeat in the 2018 presidential election, in which he sought to win a second 5-year term. As of February 2020, he was imprisoned in Maafushi Prison for money-laundering crimes.

Ahmed Adeeb Abdul Ghafoor is a Maldivian politician who briefly served as Vice President of Maldives in 2015. Prior to his appointment on 22 July 2015, he served as the Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture.

Abdul Sattar Moosa Didi was Maldivian diplomat and politician. He was born 1936 or 1937. He died in November 2015 in Bangkok.

Government of Enrique Peñaranda, 1940–43 Bolivian presidential administration and ministerial cabinet from 1940 to 1943

Enrique Peñaranda assumed office as the 38th President of Bolivia on 15 April 1940, and his term was terminated by a coup d'état on 20 December 1943. A general in the Chaco War, Peñaranda was brought forth by the traditional conservative political parties, sidelined since the end of the Chaco War, as their candidate in the 1940 general elections.
