Asind is a city and a municipality in Bhilwara district, Rajasthan, India. It is a Tehsil (sub-division) for many villages The city have a magistrate office, lower justice court and many administrative hub for many major villages.
Asind is located at 25°44′N74°20′E / 25.73°N 74.33°E . [1] It has an average elevation of 467 metres (1532 feet). Mines is Located in Village Shambhugarh, Daultgarh, Roop-pura, Barana, Tehsil Asind, District Bhilwara in Rajasthan of Soda Feldspar Quartz and mica. [2] This mine is enriched with one India's unique mineral deposit of Potassium feldspar, Quartz and mica and can meet any quantity at very short span of period. The joint capacity of both of these mines is around 150000 tons of mineral per annum. [3] In Asind there is many mines for Stone which is used to make Houses and buildings in many areas of Rajasthan.
As of 2001 [update] India census, [4] Asind had a population of 14,118. Males constitute 51% of the population and females 49%. Asind has an average literacy rate of 54%, lower than the national average of 59.5%; with 63% of the males and 37% of females literate. 18% of the population is under 6 years of age.

The MLA of Asind block is Shree Jabbar Singh Sankhla (BJP) [5] and BDO (block development officer) is Shree Amit Jain. [6] The chairman of Asind municipality is Devi Lal Sahu.
Swaibhoj Temple, also known as Shri Sawaibhoj Mandir, is a Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Devnarayan, revered as a folk deity by the Gurjar community. [7]
The temple is believed to be over 400 years old, built in the memory of Sawai Bhoj, the father of Lord Devnarayan. Sawai Bhoj was one of the 24 Gurjar brothers known as Bagaravats, who played a significant role in establishing the Gurjar community in the region. The temple is an important pilgrimage site for devotees, attracting thousands during the annual fair held in Bhadra Shukla Chhithi to Ashtami (August-September).
Beawar is a city in Beawar district of Indian state of Rajasthan. Beawar was the financial capital of Mewara state of Rajputana. As of 2011, the population of Beawar is 342,935. It is located 60 kilometres south from Ajmer, the divisional headquarter and 184 kilometres (114 mi) southwest of the state capital Jaipur, amidst Aravali hills. It is also connected by RSRTC operated buses to all parts of Rajasthan, and neighboring Delhi NCR, Ahmedabad (Gujarat), Gwalior. It also has railway connectivity with Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmadabad, Bangalore (bi-weekly), Haridwar, Dehradun (weekly), Bareilly and Muzzafarpur.

The Gurjar agitation in Rajasthan were a series of protests in Rajasthan state, India, during 2008, and in later years. Violence erupted in the state of Rajasthan on 23 May 2008 when police fired on protesters belonging to the Gurjar caste who were demanding a Special status under India's reservation system. In retaliation, the protesters lynched a policeman in the Bharatpur district of Rajasthan. In response, police shot at protesters as they tried to damage railway lines and government property. At least 15 were killed on the spot.
Kirori Singh Bainsla was a lieutenant colonel of the Indian Army and in 2007 led a caste-based protest movement in the state of Rajasthan, demanding reservation as Scheduled Tribe for the Gurjar community in Rajasthan. He headed the Rajasthan Gurjar Arakshan Sangharsh Samiti which led the wave of protests across the state. Col Bainsla is known for his trademark red pagri (turban) and white dhoti and kurta. He is popularly known as पटरीवाले बाबा.
Devnarayan is a folk deity from Rajasthan, India. He was an incarnation of Vishnu and he is worshipped mostly in Rajasthan and north-western Madhya Pradesh. According to tradition, he was born to Sri Savai Bhoj and Sadu mata on the seventh day of the bright half of the month of Maagh in the Hindu Calendar in Vikram Samvat 968 .According to one view historical Devnarayan belonged to 10th century of Vikram Samvat, according another view, he lived in between 1200-1400. The first view appears nearer to truth.
