The Aspen High School mascot is the Skiers and according to an online article by Mike Swanson, SBLive Sports, Sports Illustrated, " Aspen is the only resort town in the state[Colorado] — and the only high school in the country [United States of America]— to call its athletic teams the Skiers...the school holds a bunch of state championships in boys and girls skiing, but the Skiers have also won state titles in lacrosse, golf, swimming, cross country and ice hockey." Aspen High School enrolled 565 students during the 2018–19 school year. 498 were Caucasian, 53 were Hispanic, nine were Asian, and four were African American. [2]

D’Evelyn’s academic tenets derive from the efforts of a volunteer council to create an "alternative educational environment" in the early 1990s. D’Evelyn’s eponymous founder, David S. Lovejoy High School is a public high school in Lucas, Texas in south-central Collin County. It is the only high school of the Lovejoy Independent School District and is classified as a 5A school by the University Interscholastic League (UIL). Lovejoy High School serves most of the cities of Lucas, most of Fairview, and a small portion of Allen. Students from outside the district may transfer to Lovejoy High School for a tuition fee. The New York State Public High School Athletic Association (NYSPHSAA) is the governing body of interscholastic sports for most public schools in New York outside New York City. The organization was created in 1923, after a predecessor organization called the New York State Public High School Association of Basketball Leagues began in 1921 to bring consistency to eligibility rules and to conduct state tournaments. It consists of 768 member high schools from the state divided into 11 geographic sections. While as its name suggests the vast majority of its members are public, it does include a number of private and Catholic high schools. Most of these are located in Central New York and the Capital District, where parallel sanctioning bodies for private schools do not exist. It is a member of the National Federation of State High School Associations as well as the New York State Federation of Secondary School Athletic Associations.

The Northern Indiana Conference (NIC) is a high school athletic conference that was founded in 1927 and spanned from as far west as Hammond and Gary to South Bend/Mishawaka and Elkhart to the east and south to Plymouth. Since its start in 1927, a total of 32 separate schools have at one time called the NIC home. From its inception until 1963, the conference had been divided into East and West divisions. The West Division left to form the Northwestern Conference in 1963. With membership dwindling to 7 members by the 1970s, the conference added former members of the Northern Indiana Valley Conference to its ranks. Currently, every former NIVC member is now a part of the NIC except for South Bend Jackson, which closed in 1973, and South Bend LaSalle, which joined the NIC in 1977, but closed in 2001.
